"They ought to have freedom of worship, yet they should remain adjacent to our culture and laws! Let me send for their leaders to discuss this matter!" The priests don't look very happy with your decision, but you arrange messengers to call for the Shepherdian worshippers to bring people to your court to discuss their religion.
After Pantheonist priests leave, the group of foreigners enter. They are all wearing hooded cloaks, and there's about twenty of them. Swords and axes are visible at their belts and girdles, so your guards are at the ready.
In middle of the group is a young lady, with auburn hair, some faint freckles, a large black birthmark on her nose, and of generally unflattering shape and posture.
"King Velarien of Bailemarr." Says a bearded man with an axe, stepping to the front, with the girl following. "Greetings to you, from my lord and master, King Tastan of Trist. Your letter has been read. Your proposal has been of course, accepted." Your courtiers gasp and murmur as the man steps aside, hand open toward the young lady. She moves forward and curtsies - as much as her cumbersome, linen cloak allows.
"And here is your bride and soon-to-be wife, Princess Iselda." The bearded man speaks loudly, as the girl smiles nervously.
"G-Greetings sire... King Velarien... i-its p-pleasure to meet you... t-to be chosen by y-you as your w-w-wife." She blushes and bows her head gently. You grimace a little - you hope it is nervousness that stilts her speech, rather than actual speech impediment.
"King Velarien, if I may, our lady has ventured far from home to an alien land with little rest. Can I ask she be given a bedchamber and some rest. Meanwhile, I wish to be allowed to speak with you in private, for I bring message from my lord and king, Tastan, of great importance." He looks to his sides, eyeing your courtiers. "And of great import that requires privacy." This, of course, ruffles the feathers of your nobles the wrong way and makes guards doubly suspicious.
A) "To not trust my court is as if you do not trust me. You shall speak in front of my nobles, or not at all!"
B) "Alright then! Let us recede to a nearby chamber, if you truly require privacy to speak with me."
