The ceremony is short, and the feast modest, as the Treasurer and the Advisor decided it wasn't prudent to spend so much money on frivolties given the state of royal Treasury.

In the night, you and Milka consummate the marriage properly.

You receive wonderful news from the gold mines - the workers, with help of the supplies, managed to clear tunnels and drain the water and already begun mining the ore. The mines' new manager believes that the first transport of gold bullion should arrive next Spring.

801 AD, Midsummer

Returning from an evening feast, your plate still heavy with baked poultry and tubers, you find your young wife Milka standing in the door to your bedroom.

"The Pantheon does not reward gluttony, do you know that? You eat too much, my husband. " She speaks coldly as you chew and swallow a roasted duckroot.

A) "Nonsense! I am just having a varied diet."
B) "Yes, Milka, you're correct. I will cut down on some tubers."

Milka is pregnant! The healers have just confirmed so and you do have to agree that her stomach looks a bit fuller than just a few weeks ago.

Meanwhile, in the northwest of Bailemarr, trouble is brewing! Several nobles dwelling there have reported incursions by huntsmen and vagabonds from the neighbouring kingdom of Trist. These unwelcome guests are behaving quite rudely and already have burnt down a homestead.

Because they bear the coat of arms of Trist itself, the noblemen are afraid to punish them further than just seize their weapons and horses. That does not stop several of the offenders from coming over next week or so.

A) I shall send a strongly-worded letter to the King of Trist.
B) Not my problem!
C) I shall authorize the noblemen to punish the poachers accordingly, and leave political fallout to me.
D) I shall send my Army to hunt down the intruders and make an example of them!
