"Rest, I will keep watch."
Greslarch will keep an eye out for danger , using his sense of smell if need be.
Name: Greslarch
Race: Lupin (A primitive race of lupine beastmen. Lupin are a fierce but impulsive people, living on the fringes of society in small tight knit packs. Known for their beastly appearance; long unkempt gray hair and patches of fur on the arms and legs, plus their most distinguishing feature being their sharp claws and pointy canines. As feral as society believes Lupin are, they are in fact loyal allies should one be befriended. It is said a Lupin would lay down their life for the people they view as their friends.)

While beast-man keeps watch, Kongor will forage. Kongor hopes beast man likes eating plants.
(2 on a d10) You don't find anything edible today.
You two are sleeping without shelter tonight, since neither of you set up a shelter. I'm going to roll for effect: 1: bandits, 2 wild animals, 3 poor weather, 4 no trouble, 5 restful sleep, 6 random magical event. Keeping watch will give you advantage on roll to avoid being spotted and will give you initiative if you are found.
2. Wild animals.
A small pack of boars wanders through your campsite. I'll roll against your most appropriate skill, which looks to be hunting. D10: 9,8. since higher stats mean rolling under is a success, you fail to hide. I'll roll combat for both of you. First, how many boars? 1d6 +1: 5 boars. I'll roll 5d6 and combine your body combat scores. If the boars are high, they'll do damage. if they are low, you chase them off. if your score is 2x theirs, you get a boar out of it. Your scores are 10 and 8, so they have to roll against an 18. 4, 6, 4, 5, 6. 25. That's some bad luck there.alright, I'll roll a d6 to see who took the damage. 1-2 Kongor, 3-4 both, 5-6, Greslarch
2. So Kongor was injured in the fight.
He'll move at half speed for the next 7 days and roll at disadvantage on physical actions. He can eat 1.5x food each day to reduce the time by 1 day per, as long as he doesn't strain the injuries with strenuous activity. Greslarch can spend tomorrow hunting the boars for food though, with advantage, due to his scent skill - but it will be meat, so Kongor won't be able to eat it. Don't try to take on the whole pack alone.
"Well shit, maybe I could find a knife and start my own wood working stuff."
See if one near where I am has a knife I could buy in exchange for food.

Wibbity Wobbity, Bibbly bobbly, doot doot de boot! You have a simple carving knife! You can make trinkets with it. It has a d6 use die, so I'll roll that each use for dulling or breakage. Track that. You can also decorate regular, handheld wooden objects. You'll be sleeping outside tonight. same rules as above. 3 bad weather. It's a bit cold, and that keeps you tossing and turning. I'll roll a d10 against your body stat to see if you get sick. 1! lucky, you wake the next morning early and refreshed, well before dawn. You'll make it back in time for the regular job hunting session if you hurry.
Supplement diet by scrounging trash and sleep under a gutter or where ever the other ravens are resting.

Pity you didn't go with Kongor and Grislarch. They could use a healer right about now~ i'll let you fly south after them at the cost of 2x food if you want to join them (that is, consume 2 days food rather than 1 today). Otherwise, your night looks like:
3, poor weather and 5 v body - poor sleep so disadvantage on the morning's rolls for the next day. Wait, I forgot to roll for searching for shelter. 4, you find a murder of crows that lets you join them for the night and rest reasonably well. No ill effects for the morning. You don't get additional food though, as that would be two actions.

“I say we just buy food and sleep in the streets: there is no guarantee that we will get paid tomorrow. Either way, I will go along with you guys.”
Follow the others, doing what they do with their money.
Who has the big money and power around here? companies? nobility? government?
search for shelter for the night, possibly long-term. what shelter have I been using up until now?
consider the possible benefits and penalties from just plopping down somewhere and going low-power mode until tomorrow.

description
This little girl has tan skin, long brown hair, and a non-muscular frame. inset in the back of her neck, covered by her hair, is a small, roughly-2inch across at the widest point, pale crystal that her eyes match.
She also is able to transform in a large scythe with a semi-automatic 20mm cannon built into the handle, with her crystal inset near the head of the blade, and is capable of manifesting a secondary blade as well if desired. This crystal is core to her being, and although it is extremely durable, if it beaks, in either form, she dies with it.
She generates her own ammunition, having both HEDP and HEI shells available to her, however doing so significantly drains her energy, and so does not use these very often.
untransformed, she is able to access only a fragment of her own power. she is able to protrude her scytheblades from any point on her body, and is able to shift her arm into the end of her cannon barrel, however firing her cannon this way is inadvisable, because the short barrel does not permit her shells to properly engage the rifling in addition to not having the normal stabilizing effects of using the proper barrel length, and she doesn't have the strength to compensate for her own recoil, causing her accuracy when fired this way to be absolutely terrible. Also, it is likely to knock herself over, and she will take longer than usual to chamber a new round when fireing this way as well.
Her crystal also allows her wielder to access magic through her, in this case elemental (energy) magic.
the two of you return to the ... let's call it a classic adventurers' inn where the group had been living recently. You each spend 1/2 day's wage to stay the night. You can spend the other to secure the room for tomorrow as well. It's fine as a long term shelter, as long as you can pay. I'll assume your third party member does the same tonight.
Unlike our world, Big Money isn't really a thing in this setting, though there are nobles, relatively large businesses, and a fairly strong central government. Land is valuable, so large landowners tend to be wealthy, and in the current situation, both food production and the transportation industry are the financial backbone of the country. Aside from that, magical resources are at a premium, and this world's magical resources are largely undeveloped, so there is opportunity for big scores on the frontiers. There are a few Idle Rich still in the city, but the current crisis is quickly dwindling their resources. Of course, Crime is pretty big right now as well. Lots of small gangs fighting, and some strong willed groups are building up syndicates and such.
As for going low power and sleeping in the streets, anything from rats, to magical parasites, to the titular murderhobos, to bad weather could happen. Everyone so far has had diferent night experiences that kinda give a decent overview of what nights should look like for the near future, in terms of risk and cost.
Johnson sighs "Good to be back in routine."
