Could always be shear incompetence. Plenty of scope for that.

Well, people don't get much opportunity to practice wool-gathering any more.

It's not a proper crisis until you run out of toilet paper:

Here we go again.

In hindsight, the Mad Max franchise appears terribly unrealistic without any mention of arse wipe wars.

Belarus is already actively supporting the war with troops
Since when? It was my impression Lukashenko was refusing to join in on the military operation.

From the reports, so far Belarus has allowed Russia troops (vehicle, planes ..) and artillery to Ukraine from Belarus territory, but i saw no mention of them sending troops along the russian ones.

The 'exercises' on their territory were a joint-affair. But obviously they weren't actually intending to then procede to invade ("nor did anyone"!), as well.

Probably gives Luka a black mark in Putin's little book of allies.

Russia bringing in biochem weapon suits.

Is it for propaganda purposes, or a prelude to using biochem WMDs?

No, they only will need them when inevitably ukraine drops biochem weapons on its own cities to frame russia.

Hopefully it is a "just in case" thing, if true.

My guess would be that their accusations about chemical weapons and the current theatre are mainly a justification for the war, nothing justifies a war like making up a story and screaming "but they have chemical weapons!"
happened in the second gulf war too when the Americans were falsely claiming Iraq was producing chemical weapons.

Of course Russia is expecting us to forget that they happily used chemical agents and nuclear agents in the recent past (novichok and polonium) to poison defectors and innocent bystanders. They likely have significant quantities of that stuff stored for use.

One of the most bizarre things about this war - there was no single major attack on Ukrainian defense industry enterprises. Russians happily shell residential districts, hospitals, supermarkets, bakeries... But they want the Ukrainian defense industry intact to use in a future war against NATO
