The whole point of the small questions thread is that small questions don't each deserve their own thread - but big questions do - making this thread pointless.

How do you beat a times?

As in, good times, bad times, tricky times. How do you stop the times from being tricky ones, not just avoid the tricks?

People often remember good times to beat bad times, for instance. We can do better then that and alter the patter of the times altogether, couldn't we?
