So today I wrote a post on making religion a truly integrated and interesting part of a strategy game.

But I'd like to ask people what they most wish they could do in a fantasy strategy/simulation game.

Cool magical stuff? Shadowy intrigue? Complex treaties of cooperation? More intense character development?

Perhaps you want really involved dynastic gameplay?

This is sort of like the games you wish existed thread but with a tighter focus?

Sadly elder god simulation has been relegated to a potential sequel. There are primal, but not elder, gods, but you can't play as them. You can ally with a superorganism that wants to spread across the world and has powers somewhat like some of the gods in the SBtT trilogy.

I can read walls of text if people have a mechanic they really want to rant about. No judgment.
