Tim claimed his chosen platform without obstacles - now all that was left was to secure it. He brandished his spear menacingly, ready to defend it.

Josine took advantage of her own advantaged position to set down her aggressive potted plant and use it as a shield. Hopefully that would be sufficient as a defense.

Orris, slowly shaking off the disgusting experience, frowned deeply and took in his hands his white book. Removing the shackling chains from around it and letting them hang, he opened the book and began to attempt the pronunciation of words that no mortal would normally speak.

He could feel a great power within the book - but drawing it out would require invocations. The longer and more clearly spoken, the better. That vast pressure would not tolerate disrespect. Orris closed his mouth rapidly to avoid mumbling and ruining one of the inscribed words.

Jump on the wolf's back and try to ride it, if that fails just walk to the closest platform.
Hobo Bob, seeing that conventional methods had failed, decided to try audacity.

He leapt up, climbing onto his summoned wolf's back, and slapped its side.
It didn't even snap at him or throw him off, which was progress. Unfortunately it refused to
move in the slightest. Bob pondered this. Did riding imply motion, or merely the occupation of a beast's back?

Amon hissed in anger. This boy would pay! Examining his bag of sprigs showed no obvious clues from appearance alone, but strangely enough, the one sprig he threw was missing from the ground - it would have stood out in the false soil, but it was missing. Oh well. There was always his hands.
