What happens if the armor [COVERAGE] token exceeds 100?

Is there any other effect if [COVERAGE] token exceeds 100?

Or, does it have no effect from more than 100?

Your dwarves will begin to feel that they may have overdressed for the occasion.

Does it has any good points? For example, the amount of damage that comes in decreases?

An experiment in arena mode might give the answer. Set up a squad of over-armored dwarfs and another one of fully-armored dwarfs, and let them fight.

The wiki implies there is no other effect, because it is a % value. But mittens have a 150 coverage value, so maybe there is an effect, but it might not be a positive effect...

There is something to be said about, if the stakes are as high, maybe reconsider your certitudes. One has to be aggressively allistic to feel entitled to be able to trust. But it won't happen to me, my bit doesn't count etc etc... Just saying, after my recent experiences I couldn't trust the public if I wanted to. People got their risk assessment neurons rotten and replaced with game theory. Folks walk around like fat turkeys taunting the world to slaughter them.

From the wiki link above:

The value of coverage has an additional role in determining how well the armor protects against contaminants and temperature effects.

From that one could guess that extra coverage, like with mittens, comes into play against temperature and contaminants but not in general combat.  But I have not tested it.
