How do I do that in steam?
Same key as before, period, with 50.04+.

For those of us not in the US, that's the full stop key. .

Mules gotta spleen. Dwarfs gotta eat.
Thisfox likes aquifers, olivine, Forgotten Beasts for their imagination, & dorfs for their stupidity. She prefers to consume gin & tonic. She absolutely detests Facebook.

I didn't resurrect the thread so that people could natter about keyboard shortcuts. ::)
Get offa my lawn!  >:(

*Ahem*

Anyways, preliminary testing shows that Millstones give no advantage with "Mash plants into Slurry".  Disturbingly, the quern even seemed to work faster, with the Millstone job taking ~20 seconds, and the Quern job taking ~8 seconds.
I'm going to have to use more carefully controlled conditions to verify this for sure, 'cause I tell you that don't seem right!
(And the ongoing battle between Serpentmen and Monster Slayers isn't helping...)

Toughen Dwarves by dropping stuff on them.  (Nothing too heavy though, and make sure to wear armor.)

10 days seems a bit long to make dimple dye.  How cluttered is the quern?

Quern uncluttered; No items except for the bag and dimple-cup.  Try it yourself, I was very surprised by how long it took.

I'm going to prepare a rocknut oil operation so that I can time the third milling job as well.  Then some real science can begin.

Yeah, it seems to be taking way longer than old version milling. My millers are constantly getting thirsty.
