"Hmph. I'll banish you quickly." Hikari draws her hand. Grasp them, Star Fiber!

Heartless Shadow
Hand: 2
Deck: 9

Lina's perpetually closed eyes fail to open as her mouth widens in surprise... just long enough to stuff it with a burger.

"Wow, that's a good card! This ones mine!" She explains as she plays her card.

Lina chews in concentration, she draws a card, proceeds to... somehow look over her hand, plays another card, and swallows.

"Eat up that bunger, boy, get all big and strong!" She says as she plays her card.

For a moment, light seems to shine from Hikari as she smiles.

"You've made a big mistake. The Light encompasses all."

"I'm copying your gumdrop. And removing my Grasping Fiber, bringing The Light to 7/7."

Hikari Yagami, The Light
Hand: 5
Deck: 12
Hearts: 20
Stars: 0

Field:
'The Light' Gumdrop Guard Dog(it shines bright) 7 Attack, 7 Hearts.
Grasping Star Fiber 2/2

Discard Pile:
Banished: Grasping Star Fiber

(All I can say is say hello to her EV-Card, it's quite the lightshow.)

((Hold on, do "when you play this" effects trigger if they get added to the card after it gets played?))

(Since I copied a card with an effect that works when played, The Light was still in the 'played' state when the copy effect went through, which triggered a chain with itself, so Gumdrop's effect occurs once The Light's resolves. In case a 'when you play this' effect were added while on the field after being played, it wouldn't until it was played later.)
(Guiding Light is a good example, as it would copy a card during combat. If said card it copied had a when played effect, it wouldn't trigger. If it were an 'is attacked' effect, it would trigger as a chain much like The Light.)

((That said, Supernerd can give his own comments. But that is how these cards were designed to work. And yes, she does have another card that does something similar. The Light can't change now though, so it's a Gumdrop all the way through. A 7/7 white Gumdrop, that glitters.))
(((Hikari isn't an easy foe to fight. Neither was Jack for that matter, even though he's an NPC now. Or Gary. Or you if you manage a doubled gumdrop off of Bunger)))

Somehow, impossibly, Lina squints her shut eyes even harder in concentration as she draws her next card and begins to consume a second burger.

She then plays a second Bunger

From what I can tell, the Light is a.... Confusing mess actually. It has ? as its attack, but nothing that would define what its attack should be. I would assume it would default to zero if undefined but this isn't 100% clear.

It says to copy a card currently in play. It does not say it BECOMES a copy of that card, and since it has 1 heart as a base, it would also remain in play in addition to the copy.

websim.ai is coming dangerously close to being able to run Gridhood. Maybe I'll live to see the day if I exercise, eat right, and somehow convince the world's governments not to nuke everyone.

((Honestly, considering everything I know of Hikari's deck, it really does feel like I've run into another "dueling against a hard counter" situation.))

(Probably something to fix in text later. And yeah, if brought out or copying itself it would have 0 attack. Or if you returned it to it's original state.)
(In cases where a copy would be created, I would use 'create a copy'. I've seen that before with Grimpling.)

Hikari plays a facedown.

Then has her Grasping Star Fiber attack the Bunger, destroying itself. "Can't let another Gumdrop drop.." she mumbles.

Hikari Yagami, The Light
Hand: 5
Deck: 11
Hearts: 20
Stars: 0

Field:
'The Light' Gumdrop Guard Dog(it shines bright) 7 Attack, 7 Hearts.
Facedown Card 1 ?

Discard Pile: Grasping Star Fiber
Banished: Grasping Star Fiber

(I seem to have dropped some info on Guiding Light before I played it. It's effect can only trigger when it's attacked, so not as bad, but still pretty bad.)

Lina pinks hard, and pulls over a plate of spaghetti, slurping down well-sauced noodles.

Then, she plays Pasta Pioneer, which gains +3 Attack from the three different allied card names

With that, both the Gumdrop and the Pioneer attack the Light Gumdrop, destroying it and themselves

(Yeah, that would be 3, since Pasta Pioneer is a card name.)
(As well, Bunger is counting your turns. Including the turn it is played. Otherwise it would say 3 player's turns. So two turns where it can't attack on top of the initial turn. Though if it was played on your opponent's turn, the result would be the same.)

"Right, you have some skill. That is quite the card. Guide my path, little light."

Hikari Yagami, The Light
Hand: 5
Deck: 11
Hearts: 20
Stars: 0

Field:
Facedown Card 1 ?
Guiding Light: 0/1

Discard Pile: Grasping Star Fiber, 'The Light' Gumdrop Guard Dog(7/7)
Banished: Grasping Star Fiber

(Before you ask, yes, this can activate Clear at the cost of not being able to block an attack. Most spells activate their effect when played however, so that doesn't really work for them.)
(In the case it leaves before combat resolves, the attacking card changes target.)
(In case of copying a card, if it survives Guiding Light returns to it's 0/1 stat. If destroyed, it goes to the Discard Pile as Guiding Light with it's 0/1 stats and original effects.)
( And this card's effect is mandatory. It can also chain other Guiding Lights.)

(Disregard the permanent effect thing. Since it gains the effects and only loses those, permanent effects would stick. I'm a bit off today.)

Lina draws as she continues to devour her pasta, she nods. "Mmhmm!"

Then, she plays a card face-down

"Oh, by the way, you can attack this one."

And ends her turn
