Day 1 - CYOGTCG Math
Eventually, the bell rings to signal it is time for your next period, and a man who can only be described as the culmination of math teacher stereotypes comes to bring you to your first class of the new school year. Specifically, the Class of CYOGTCG Math. He begins his lecture, far drier than a school that's literally teaching you how to play the most beloved game on the planet logically should be.
"Now, while it is generally assumed that many of you have gathered the very basics of CYOGTCG through cultural osmosis at the very least, I would be a poor teacher if I risked leaving any..." The camera cuts over to Wichtel, who has very clearly only avoided falling over because her awkward sitting position leaves her leaning against the wall "... exceptions behind."
As stated, you learn the most basic of basics. When one Unit card(the term for a card that naturally has a number higher than 0 in either stat) attacks another, both have the opposing card's "Attack" stat subtracted from their "Hearts" stat. When the Hearts stat is 0 and no effects apply that would change what happens to it, the card is sent to your Discard Pile, informally referred to as the "Graveyard".
Most importantly however, you learn how to choose whether the cards Attack or Hearts stat will be higher, and are given the opportunity to make a card. Strangely, it is strictly optional to actually use the thing you just learned when making this card. Weird.
