At first I thought Quarque might’ve gotten it, but then I looked at what kinds of markers were sold by CVS and decided to research the history of dry erase markers.  That’s when I found out they were invented in 1975.

Fun fact: whiteboards predate dry erase markers by a decade. Before the dry erase marker became available all markers had to be "wet" erased with an alcohol solution.
