I honestly have no idea. I didn't even know there WERE books until I looked it up because you asked.
I'll explain a little to help close off this line of questioning. He wrote his own novelizations of some of his visual medium work, but I don't know which of that work the novelizations were about. Some of the visual medium work had robots, and some of it involved going to other planets, so both are plausible, but I've never seen the novelizations so I can't confirm whether those particular cases were ever novelized.

So, This is a deceased human, who has appeared extensively in sci-fi, unknown before the 19th century (implying: born during or after, but needs confirming), wrote books, but not popular ones, some or all of which are sci-fi. dead before the turn of the millennium. Had something to do with "a visual medium" (but not as an actor).

My question is: did he die before 1969?
