I did. I still have no good leads on what it might be, and thought that (since there were no new posts for a week) others might be in the same boat.

Anyway, It's not in the dictionary*, has to do with computer hardware, but is not in fact hardware. Has visible components (though is itself intangible). Has something to do with connecting electronics.
