I don’t know.  Not directly.  They might have used it on the ground as early as the Apollo program (and I’d be surprised if they weren’t using it now), but no more than any other company or organization…

Flight simulator? probably not, those are paradoxically both too early (as a mechanical device in the 1920s) and too late (as a computer program in the 1980s.)

Does the use of this program usually require the use of non-standard peripherals? (anything that's not a keyboard, mouse, display or speakers/headset)
