I was thinking of some type of cable, but instead of guessing "HDMI cable" immediately, I thought I'd narrow it down with the obvious "long" adjective. Since A_Curious_Cat didn't immediately say yes, I'm guessing I'm off.

Long in comparison to something, like a worm is very short to us, but a fly would think a worm is longer

I can’t seem to be able to find exact dimensions, but I believe it’s shorter than 6 inches.

Yes.

A “computer screen” as in the image shown on a computer monitor?  It’ll certainly show up there if you have a picture of it displayed in an application.  As to how often people have apps displaying it open, I wouldn’t know.  Not very often, I’d guess.
