Kazuki let out a 'psssh' at Yusuke's attempt at a nickname retaliation.

"Hey, Traxesa, you really work for this guy? He's so uncool," Kazuki says with a little shrug; still smirking. "Everyone knows I'm the clown man. But since my boss is such a caring person... Oi, you there! Hope you didn't like using your eyes much!" In tandem with Setusrou's shuriken, Kazuki threw out a bomb to get him while he was distracted.

The remaining men still standing nod at each other, realising just how outmatched they were against actual Gnosis wielders, and retreat in front of their captain, some dragging their wounded and unconscious fellows away and most of them trying not to get in the way of another Gnosis wielder.

Your heightened clairvoyance fades away, and Alice breathes in deeply.
"....right. Well. I guess we're all fugitives now, huh? Good dragons help us all...."

As the guards fled, Miyako started turning the corner to see who was helping her and her friends.

"Setsurou? Traxesa? Did you recruit an entire eatery to help us in this rescue?

Nullstar's amusement was all too obvious even if only his eyes were visible through his mask. Especially with one of his clones taking down one of those mages by itself.
"Delightful. It seems we were just a bit 'rusty', yes."
Finally he noticed the other guards were fleeing and carrying their allies away, so it was safe to assume the battle was over. Especially if Alice was showing up again to speak up.
"It seems we underestimated this little gift of yours. Well done...but yes, you are also correct, we are probably going to be marked as outlaws."
"Hopefully this was worth the trouble, assuming those folks over there can pay us."

Daisuke briefly inspected his blade as the call to retreat came, but that didn't stop him from jerking forward to scare a passing mage. Smirking with amusement he sheathed his sword, humming with a slight amount of satisfaction at the lack of damage it had experienced, before he turned back to face his companion and the two he'd enjoyed lunch with.
"That was a fun diversion! Shame about the duel but I assume you two will be going soon....

The battle over, Kaori seems to almost sag with relief.

"Oh, it's over..." Well, that was until that blonde woman made that remark that they were all fugitives now and her eyes widened.

"Ah, no, she's right. We fought against imperial guards! Whatdowedo? Whatdowedo? Whatdowedo?" Well, first off, she should really calm down before....

There was sudden puff of smoke and a small golden-tinged fluffy sheep was standing in her place.

"Um...don't look at me so closely?"

Kazuki gave a little spin of his bomb in his hand as he landed the final blow on the captain— then put it away.

"Welp, that was an interesting experience that I'm sure I'll never forget." One of two on protecting Rengoku— gonna keep that in mind. "Never thought 'beat back an Imperial army' was gonna be in my job description, buuuut I suppose that's what happens when ya get a little too excited. Wonder what old Hidekazu would think, eh- Anyway," Before even beginning to address Traxesa by name due to remembering what he was hypothetically supposed to do, Kazuki quickly turned to Rin and folded his hands behind his back. His voice became more hushed as his expression finally turned serious.

"New deal, Rengoku— I spread word far and wide about how evil I was, dragging you the poor innocent maiden into this awful conflict and forcing her to fight under threat of death. Since you got a ton of assassins on ya, I really don't wanna add being a wanted fugitive on top of all of that— I know, I know you're probably gonna insist that it's fine, but it really ain't, I got you into this mess and I'm sure Kubo can fight off the occasional assassin nice and easy. Basically, if you wanna sever the contract because of my screw-up, it's all good."

"You're not getting away." Madoka stepped toward Daisuke, taking the bait and utterly ignoring the fact that one of the Cursed was in their midst.

"We're just traveling, um, to find good fights."

Alice tips her hat.
"Well, like I said. Can't fight, but it's a hell of a trick. Now, I hope we can actually get some pay, since it'll be painful if we don't otherwise."
Rin tilts her head, frowning. She shakes her head.
_{"That won't do. Besides, I promised these people I would help them, and I won't go back on my word. I know it's dangerous, Kazuki, but..."}
Her eyes, once again, drifted to the Gnosis hanging off of her obi, glowing faintly.
_{"If these really are the Juunishi, then I can't just let them walk away. They deserve-"}

"You two aren't thinking of running away, are you?"

Yusuke interjects, causing Rin to jump.
"How did you-"
He taps his ear.
"All of us Cursed have better senses than average. It's part of the package."
Todoroki almost seems disappointed as the guards flee. Sighing, he leans against a nearby post, grabbing some of the healing herbs he'd been carrying with him to apply them to himself to soothe the aching, looking over at Daisuke and Madoka.
"Haven't had a fight like that in a while, huh, Madoka? She's got the right of it. We're here to find good fights, and hopefully one day, find my old Master. You ever heard of Tokiwa Hitoshi?"

Kazuki scratched his cheek, admittedly a little embarrassed at his embarrassment.

"Well, if you're up for it... just can't help but still feel responsible..." Kazuki listens, looking up at Yusuke. He's a little exasperated, but calm. "Eh. Just givin' the boss a chance to break off our contract since I did kinda jump in for my own personal reasons, but we're both pretty lucky she's who she is, huh?" Kazuki turns towards Traxesa with a smirk more befitting of Kazuki. "Oh yeah, what was that about the eatery?"
