Daisuke nods as well. He'd been uncharacteristically silent since the encounter with the empress up until now, like something had shaken him.
"Yes, it would be best to avoid a fight especially since everyone is winded and the weather in bad."

"Alright, then let's get in there!"
"Right-"

As the Cursed specifically approach the mansion, however, their sense triggers. Specifically, their ability to sense the presence of other Cursed. It feels dulled, and oddly faint, as if they were trying to see through fog, or smell through blocked noses, but it's there.

"No way. Kuroda..."

The Cursed Horse, Keiko Kuroda, is in that mansion.

"Keiko is here..."

"This bodes well. Either she owns this place, or the owner is hospitable. Either way, we can probably stay here for the night."

"But Momo, didn't you say she was missing? It's strange to find her here, but well, she now knows we're here, so let's go say hi."

"Maybe she had the same idea we did; find somewhere to shelter from the storm."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Another Cursed... strange. Perhaps we ought to speak to her and get an idea of her loyalties."

"She escaped with us, and back in Sangonomiya, I talked with Hiroyuki. According to him, Keiko has been trying to find a cure for the Curse on her own. She's no friend of the Empress, but it might take some convincing if we want her to help us. Either way, it'll be nice to see her."

"So you met with Honda-sensei. Good to know he's still active. The old man....what I'd give for another spar with him. But, I will say, Kuroda might not be the biggest fan of me. Which is fair. She was always the most stubborn of us Cursed, the Horse. And that's with Yamada among them."
Yusuke simply shoots her a glare.

"Last I saw, she was working on some way to use potions to resist the Curse's effects on the mind, and knowing her, she might have even succeeded, given how she escaped. I can't say I'd recommend it; when we investigated her room after, the potion ingredients she used.....some of those shouldn't be consumed by humans in any amount."
"Well, there goes that. Still, if she knows anything about breaking the Curse...."

The first raindrop falls.

"We should really get in, if we're getting in. We can talk about this stuff when we find Kuroda."

[SeriousConcentrate]

Setsurou nodded.

"Let's hurry."

As the party draws towards the compound, they notice a few things. The architecture is beautiful, and the mansion, though not the biggest, is opulent; there looks to be two floors, possibly an attic. It looks aged, with an ethereal quality to it. The architecture looks old; definitely not like the wealthiest row in Soumahara, but rather like some of the older places you would find in the country.

Firstly, the gate is open. Secondly, there is a small signpost nailed to the side marking the place as the Sawatari Mansion. Thirdly, a set of aged teru teru bozu hang from the canopy over the mansion's front porch. If the Sawataris are a clan of repute, they're not one anybody in the party is aware of. As the party approaches, the front door, a guard, clad in red, approaches.

"Stop. Are you visitors of Master Sawatari?"

[Praefectus Screptum]

"Let us hope there are no more surprises for now."

Miyako spoke to the guard.

"Just travelers. There's a storm coming, and we're looking for a dry place to stay the night. Could you ask your master if it's fine if we take shelter in the stables?"

She chose her words carefully. Miyako knew that indoors Keiko already knew there were other Cursed nearby. Keiko might convince the host to invite the group into the house itself, or she might not. It could tell of her disposition either way.

The guard examines Miyako very closely.
".....the master was already housing a traveller from the storm. Leave your horses. Our master would be happy to have you inside for the night. Is the bard with you?"

[Aurorix]

"The bard? Well, the only bard we have with us is that one." Traxesa gestures his thumb towards Momo, "Is she the one you're looking for?"

The guard seems to....glare? at Momo.
"....hm. Tell her to be careful what she touches. Try yourselves off on the porch and come in. Our master will be glad. Dinner is coming soon."

"That's great! Thank you very much for the hospitality."

Miyako stepped onto the porch, shaking her clothes slightly to make them dry faster.
