You decide to take the direct approach. It's your land; what could go wrong?

Things work out OK!
There's some initial panic when you first slide into town... you hastily rattle off words of peace, and people start poking their noses out of the windows again. You present your claim with clear STRAIGHTFORWARDNESS, leaving your audience on familiar territory! They accept the terms readily enough, perhaps with a bit of trepidation.
Your work here done, you exchange goodbyes and leap for the clouds. You fly extra-high towards the next hamlet, so as not to draw undue attention.

You take a bit more care with your next two introductions, and things go swimmingly! The hamlet of Detchwater is especially pleased by your arrival: from the sound of things, the Baron was a bit heavy-handed on their taxes.
You loop around to grab your coffers, then head for home. All in all, this trip's been a roaring success.
Vassal hamlets gained: Fless, Detchwater, Garnemston!
The mead-hall's become a bit of a mess in your absence. Your dais is back a few extra feet now, with the HOARD piled in the middle of it; around where they were, a gaping hole in the floor sinks around seven feet into the earth. There's a couple of your underlings at the bottom, struggling away with mattocks... looks like the ground's giving way to bedrock down there.
This is gonna take ages.
A) Away with these peons; you'll do the digging yourself!
B) Time to pay for some contracted labor!
C) Let's get some more peasants down here. If two isn't enough, maybe eight is better?
D) Meh, this is fine for now. You're a patient dragon.
