This is really off-topic, but I hope Stirk won't mind if I answer you. At least from my background, calling someone "my dude" like that is something you'd only do if you want to be highly insulting in a sort of dismissively arrogant way. It's presumptuously familiar, it's... something a frat bro would say to somebody he's trying to flex on, basically. (Variations like "my man", "my guy" also exist and are the same thing.) It's not something you would ever call somebody unless you are trying to be nasty and want everyone to know it. So, I assumed it was meant that way. I admit I may have been wrong. If so, I have to recommend not using it without knowing your audience first.

I’d recommend not being overly sensitive to something people will call literally everyone all the time, especially if there’s no way for said people to know your particular triggers or whatever then, because if you knew me you’d know I call everyone my dude.

I don’t actually think it tastes delicious and doubt it’ll kill him (especially as I would expect him to have either already heard about “yellow snow” and not eat it in the first place, or spit it out when he tastes it if he hasn’t).  I was trying to make a joke, but it unfortunately appears that there are people in this thread who can’t seem to take a joke.

In any case I think you should chill out, and I intend to not post anything more in this thread until things have calmed down.  I’m afraid this thread is devolving into a flame war…

I'm... pretty sure nobody is taking anything that seriously. There's nothing wrong with a little unnecessary negativity. It's healthy, part of a complete breakfast, and probably puts hair on your chest.
