I once took some sand, threw it at a goblin archer, he was then in pain, i then took a severed goblins child's head, and threw it at the archer. Goblin children heads are surprisingly effective.
Another time, i used a deer corpse to kill a wolf, sweet irony.

Finally have something to offer on this thread, it made me laugh so much.

The spinning cheetah corpse strikes The lion in the upper body!
It is battered!
The lion is having trouble breathing!
The lion's liver has been badly bruised!
The lion's upper spine has been broken!
The lion falls over.

Throwing corpses is old, but fun.

I like it too. I gave shurikens to Haradrim in my middle-earth mod.
I've found the only way to let them throwing these shurikens: I made a "hand winding" ranged weapon which shoots shurikens. It represents stripes of cloth and hard material (metal/leather) winded on arm to protect it from sharp missiles like kunai or shurikens.

If you wanted shuriken you could just create an ammo item if you only wanted it for adventure mode. You would need a corrasponding weapon though for fortress mode as you laid out.

I'm going to add "soul" to the body tag of all civ creatures in the game, and make it so that it can be severed.  Then I'll throw people's souls!

Just be careful about giving it the tag of [HEAD].Allows you to kill people by severing it,but has a very interesting side effect.

Tried giving vampire hearts that tag.  The result was rather...  Unexpected.

Some would go so far as to say "creepy".

If you have some organs in bodylist which have connections to head, you'll get them doubled (usual on head PLUS eyes, ears and such on your heart!).

If you don't want it to happen, you should manually edit your head organs to give them [CON:HEAD] instead of [CONTYPE:HEAD].

I was talking about something like that with a friend who doesn't play DF, I was explaining it to her as she was interested. Specifically I was talking about how attacks were assigned to bodyparts, such as attacks with grasp. She asked if it was possible to assign a grasp attack to the nose, and I said yes if you gave it the grasp attribute. But that would then allow things to weild swords and stuff with their noses as well.

Ah yes...  I had briefly considered adding [GRASP] to dwarven beards so they could pluck eyes out, but I never got around to it.

Those vampire hearts were interesting though...  From time to time, the heart would pounce out of the chest and bite whoever the vampire was fighting.

And even if you broke the heart's neck you still wouldn't be able to deter it.  Gouging out its eyes did hep a little though, but you'd have to gouge out the vampire's eyes as well in order for it to work.

the best thing I ever threw was my own severed arm.... killed the darn kobold that did it though with my awesome throw. then I passed out and died.
