I've had the following (maybe slightly paraphrased) going through my mind today, for no obvious reason...

I'd like to have enough money to buy an elephant.
(Someone asks "Why do you want an elephant?")
Oh, I don't, I just want the money.

Really not at all sure where it's from (at least a few decades old, might have been decades old even then). Maybe someone like Marx (i.e. Groucho or Chico, probably not Harpo!), Eric Morecambe, or just some random variety comedian/film-funnyman, but I'm sure it came from that sort of field.

But it's a quote, and so I commend it to you all. Ignore it at your leisure!
