The punk sets down his hastily scrabbled together deck, feeling the weight of his inevitable failure within it. Still, he holds for the moment as the bowl-cut kid starts the game. Rulao gazes onward savouring the last bites of his mother's cheeseburger lunch. Finally he wheezes, "I ain't interested in draggin' this out." Throwing a finger Jack's way, "How 'bout we say ten hearts and go from there, huh?"

Regardless of Jack's answer. Rulao sets his hand up and draws a card.

"Guess we'll start with this lil' shit." He sighs, throwing down a Cosmic Isopod! Gaining a star that will do him no good whatsoever.



"This guy'll give 'em a little protection." He says, throwing down another card beside it, a Slimy Tentacle.



He scratches his chin, looking over the four cards kn his hand. "Yer tur, Bowl-cut."

Jack considers it for a moment.
"Alright then."

Both players lose 10 hearts due to mutual agreement!

Jack draws a card...

Jack plays Paladin Illuminator!


Iguana attacks Cosmic Isopod, destroying it! Evidently the tentacle gave it no meaningful protection at all. This ends Jack's turn.

"Aw, that little bug wasn't hurtin' no one." He belts out with a grin. With that Rulao draws the next card.

"I'm gonna guess this's one of yer cards huh?" The pompadoured guy asks, throwing down a Fallen Paladin.



"He's gonna hit yer Illuminator dude with some damage. An' after that the tentacle's gonna crush it!" With their powers combined, the two cards destroy the Paladin Illuminator.

Rulao ends his turn.

(Your cards in play in your status are incorrect. You actually have the tentacle and Fallen paladin, not isopod and Fallen Paladin.).

Jack draws a card...

There's a glint in Jack's eye for a moment. "If that's your action, then you must plan to incorporate some face-down cards huh?"

Jack frowns for a moment and he prepares to play a card: Fallen Paladin!



Fallen paladin's effect targets Slimy Tentacle. As this is the second time it took damage, Slimy Tentacle is destroyed!
Iguana attacks Rulao's Fallen Paladin, destroying Fallen Paladin and leaving Iguana with 1 Heart.

This ends Jack's turn.

(Easy to mix stuff up while making these posts on the phone. At least it doesn't matter now. Haha.)

Rulao grimaces, realizing he misunderstood some fundamental part of the Slimy Tentacle's effect. Deapite that, he draws a card, hoping for the best.



"I'll play another one of yer edgy paladins I guess. Using their effect to destroy yer Iguana." Without much else to do, Rulao ends his turn.

Smite deals 4 damage to Rulao's new Fallen Paladin, destroying it!

Jack's Fallen Paladin attacks Rulao directly to deal 2 hearts of damage!

Rulao picks his next card up with an incredulous glare. He reveals it.



"Ain't that Smite card just an explicity better version of this one? Hell's up with that?" The answer doesn't matter much to the punk. He throws down the card, targeting Jack's Paladin, wiping both of their fields.

Jack comments. "I've considered that one myself actually. I noticed that the key difference is that Smite specifically needs to target a card, while Runic Magecraft: Gandr can instead target a non-card such as a player."

Jack plays Friendship Precure!



Both players gain a Heart, a Star and draw a Card.

As Friendship Precure does not count towards the one card per turn limit, Jack then plays Lightbringer!



This ends Jack's turn.

The punk's brow raises, he nods his head. "Yeah that makes sense, I hadn't considered that, thanks fer the tip Bowl-cut!" With that he draws two cards and gives another cheeky thumbs up Jack's way.

"I'll throw this one down, don't fail me now lil' guy!"



Rulao ends his turn, pouring over what's left in his hand.

With an idle expression on his face, the thug gazes around to their classmates around the two dueling boys, who're barely engaged by their battle. "Alright Bowl-cut, I'll draw a card and we can repeat last turn how bout it?"

He slaps down another Mossen Crushclaw.

With a resounding fist he slams down a card, and ends his turn.
