A few things that can bolster your odds of getting a card that can generate stars can be done, such as setting its stats to be below the curve, and while flavor text has no direct effect on the card, it can still impact auto-tuning. Having 'star' in the card's name often works too.

Diance cleans up her card frame and alters a few paramaters. What? Her brother taught her a few things. This is likely a case of too much flavor though, which is sad. Instead, distill it. Switch the images too so it better fits the initial card.
