My Reads:TownRoden - I think we're both town that found each other, their reasoning for town reading me felt super genuine and they backed off Jack in a natural way
Jack - unless partners with FoU
Weak TownFoU - Web could have been pocketing Jack so I'll put them in weak town
Magma - hasn't done anything suspicious but I also haven't seen any big town tells, going to be cautious
Bluarian - dropping a bit from a solid town read based on the Jack stuff
NullPref - kind of unsure currently, dropping a bit like Blue
Rolan - complete wild card
ScummyHedgerow - blatantly scummy, if they're not a hit then I think the two mafia are in Magma/Blu/Pref/Rolan
Other Player's Reads:A quick list of reads;
I like Magma Meter's plays - no aggression, decent questions for a first start. I get town vibes.
Toony is Toony - god as my witness, I still can't read them to save my life. Mentor role might make them seem more town then worth, but for now town for me.
Pref's hunting is pretty good in my eyes - townlean.
I don't like hedgerow's quick aggression - want to see something from him to prove me wrong. Scum most likely for now.
Euchre rubs me wrong - tiny scumlean.
Null for everyone else!
Gonna do a read-through, but first glance..
Hedge feels townier now - they're posting, and it feels towny.
Euchre feels scum. They've gone x100 more agressive. I don't like it.
Rolan.. maybe town?
I dunno.
Read list (aka EuchreJack's Last Will and Testament):
Rolan7 - Might have something to say on Day 2? I honestly doubt they could play as mafia, they're probably sub out due to the stress.
Magma Mater: So much gold posting, but maybe too town to be town?
webadict/FOU: With the switch, my brain just can't handle it yet - Note that Web was probably in the middle of some gambit, then FOU subbed
BluarianKnight - Has been far too quiet, which is a bad sign for Town
hedgerow - Bad scum or bad town, but maybe town got some use out of their "policy elimination" vote - Null
ToonyMan - See Magma Mater's comments on Toonyman
prefuzek - Not a sheep on this mislynch, but someone that wants it to happen with a loophole when I flip Town
Roden - When I flip town, lynch this person D2
Sorry I don't have the energy to post much for environmental reasons. Anyway, reads! Mix of gut and a few actual reasons.
BluarianKnight - town lean
EuchreJack - not getting the strong town vibes I usually do. In the past Jack's looked like they have no idea who's who and flail around because of it. They're still posting a lot but I think they have more information this time so it's less erratic. Scum, going to leave my vote for now
Magma Mater - strong town
webadict - up for replacement D1 so doesn't really matter. I disagree with some of their reads though
hedgerow - my gut said their first couple (very short) posts were scummy. This post would be super audacious for a new scum though so I don't know what to think. I'm guessing they'll be a lynch target today, good to keep an eye on.
Roden - probably town for suggesting BP step forward first
Rolan7 - null
ToonyMan - not playing normally (because of vet status?). Scum lean
Overall guess: 1 scum between EuchreJack/hedgerow and 1 scum between Toonyman/webadict/BluarianKnight.
Magma Mater - would you prefer a doctor or a bullet-proof in this setup?
Can I choose neither?
I'd prefer bulletproof though, since I'd be able to play like vanilla.
Why did you ask this question?
Currently, my reads look something like this:
Roden likely town.
Blue slight town.
EuchreJack very slightly town. I like the tone of his posts even though the content is not great.
prefuzek I have a slight wolf read on due to the post where he accuses hedgerow of going for a policy lynch on Euchre. I also really dislike the accusatory tone loaded into the "how do you know what the hackers are going to do" question toward hedgerow in the same post. It seemed clear to me that hedgerow was only making a supposition, the purpose of asking this question is probably just to make a backhanded accusation.
Toony I have a slight wolf read on as well. Earlier in the day, after I asked him if he's a closed book, he responded that no, he tends to spill all of his thoughts on things. Given that, I'd expect him to be less resistant to sharing his reads. As it is, I have no idea whom he suspects since his main line of inquisition seems to end in EuchreJack confirming that yes, he was acknowledging prefuzek's accusation as true.
FallacyofUrist doesn't have a reads list so I'll use what Webadict had instead for this slot.
Anyway, since I'm feeling a bit better, initial feelings are:
Magma Mater - Super blathery but also super Town. Probing for answers. Enter the pocket.
EuchreJack - Very Town. Sheeping the right answers.
hedgerow - Hmm... Town. Call it a hunch. I would explain why, but only if hedge asks. The pocket easily fits two.
Roden - Townlean. Against the BT strat for what feels like legitimate reasons. Is that even a good reason to trust someone is Town? Maybe. Still gonna do it.
Rolan7 - I forgot everything I read from them.
BluarianKnight - Scumlean. Absolutely no reason. Okay, maybe also because bias.
ToonyMan - Was Townlean until they didn't like EuchreJack's reasoning for BluarianKnight, which is really baffling and super passive. Give me better.
EuchreJack is scum for just giving it to Roden over and over again; that much is clear.
Everyone else seems about normal. Can't really complain. Just a regular townie doing regular townie things.
Roden would give the advantage to the mafia though. There's no good reason to put the BP out there and he was sure enough to pin him or his partner as a role.
TOWN
Magma Mater- Very proactive, asks a lot of questions but they are good questions. By all accounts, they appear to be very pro-town. However, I could see a mafia play here where they try to have a very strong town start and coach their partner to answer questions as innocuously as possible. Specifically, the beginning RQS questions, since absolutely no one got tripped up by them. This isn't likely to be fair, but it's a possibility that I want to keep in mind as the game progresses. Overall though a strong town read.
ToonyMan- Has been doing what he can to be helpful and apply pressure on questionable posts. I understand he can be duplicitous but I think his ISO check on me indicates a town mind set.
BluarianKnight- This is a very light town lean since they don't have a lot of content yet. But what they do have so far is fine, since I haven't seen anything particularly scummy come from them yet.
NULL
Rolan7- Not enough posts to discern anything yet.
Prefuzek- Nothing feels town or mafia weighted atm. Feels like they're playing defensively/reactionary though. I had to reread their ISO since I couldn't remember their posts off hand. Not sure of they're intentionally trying to not stick out or not.
Webadict/FallacyofUrist- Just going off of my interaction with Web, I was leaning scum, but FOU reads a little better. I want to give them some time to play before I commit to a read.
SCUM LEAN
EuchreJack- He claims he's scum hunting, but I'm not really seeing it. His posts feel more like he just wants to show how town he is, but I also get a hint of being combative that doesn't seem like would come from town.
Hedgerow- Man their ISO is just weird. I don't see why they would stick out on purpose if they're mafia, but nonetheless I'm still not getting town vibes.
I don't think I can say I'm hard scum reading anyone yet. But as of now I think there's one mafia between Jack and Hedge. I don't think they're buddies though, and I think putting them on concurrent wagons will be more revealing than just poking inactive players with votes.
Vote: EuchreJack
Rolan doesn't have reads.
A Note:
Some of these reads aren't quite the latest but this is what I'm using unless said otherwise.
If somebody is currently voting someone that person will automatically be a strong scum read for them.
I'm using FoU's comments for some of Web's reads.
Town/Scum ScoresThis is each player's total read score based on how every other player feels about them.
The points are valued as such:
Strong Town Read = +2
Mild Town Read = +1
Null = 0
Mild Scum Read = -1
Strong Scum Read = -2
Total Points:The score addition order is (Toony, Bluarian, Jack, Pref, Magma, Web/FoU, Hedgerow, Roden, Rolan).
Magma Mater (+1,+1,+0,+2,+2,+0,+2,+0) = 8
BluarianKnight (+1,-1,+1,+1,-1,+0,+1,+0) = 2
EuchreJack (+2,-2,+0,+1,+2,-2,+1,+0) = 2
Roden (+2,+0,-2,+1,+2,+1,-2,+0) = 2
Rolan7 (+0,+1,+0,+0,+0,+0,+0,+0) = 1
ToonyMan (+1,-1,-1,-2,+1,+0,+2,+0) = 0
prefuzek (+0,+1,-1,-1,+0,+0,+0,+0) = -1
hedgerow (-2,+1,+0,+0,+0,+2,-2,+0) = -1
FallacyofUrist (+1,+0,+0,-2,-2,+0,+0,+0) = -3
Observations:Magma is almost universally town read.
Bluarian, Jack, and Roden are slightly town read.
Rolan has a point thanks to Bluarian for some reason, basically true neutral though.
I am polarizing with players. I'm thankful for the suspicion though since it makes me a less likely nightkill target.
Pref isn't actually strongly read by any players, could be scummy since it means they might be purposely avoiding heat.
Hedgerow is mostly null or negative reads, similar status as FoU.
FallacyofUrist is almost entirely null read except for the two votes by Pref and Magma recently. Their situation is very similar to eliminating Rolan.
