list of possible revisions.

M1900 Karbinhake
The M1900 Karbinhake is a shortened M1899 Kortrevar that has been reduced to 40 inches and has had a sling attached for ease of use by cavalry. The most notable difference from the M1899 pattern is the 8 round Enblock clip used to load the rifle instead of individually loading 12 rounds. This has reduced total capacity to 8 rounds, however the ability to load the rifle rapidly by cavalry in the heat of battle is seen as an acceptable tradeoff.

The Enblock is inserted into the ejection port of the weapon down into the internal magazine and is the same on the top and bottom, so the user does not need to figure out which side is "up". When the last round is fired and the bolt is pulled to the rear, the now empty Enblock is ejected from the ejection port of the weapon.

Kulspruta-900E
An upgraded Kulspruta-900 designed for improved sustained fire in emplaced positions. A gunshield has been added to the gun to provide protection to the gunner. The feed belts have been improved for greater reliability and packaged in such a way as to allow easy linkage to another box of ammunition for continuous fire. A reserve water tank with a simple hand pump has been provided to allow for easy refilling of the water tank without exposing oneself to enemy fire.

Kulspruta-900 Rörlig M1
on upgrade to the Rörlig the barrel is redesigned to allow the gunner to quickly replace the barrel in the field, this should help with maintaining sustained fire as gunners will no longer have to wait for the barrel to cool off before they can fire again. A carry handle is attached to the barrel to make it easier to fire on the move and to help the gunner handle the the hot barrels when the they are replaced.(think the FN model D), finally the bipod of the deisgn is improved better deal with the recoil.

Kulspruta-900 Rörlig M2
on upgrade to the Rörlig the barrel is redesigned to have a barrel shroud added to improve on it's air cooling performance. additionally a carry handle is attached to the barrel to make it easier to fire on the move, finally the bipod of the deisgn is improved better deal with the recoil.

A few more ideas from me, as well as some of my previous ideas.

M1901 Karbinhake
The M1901 Karbinhake is a shortened M1899 Kortrevar that has been reduced to 40 inches and has had a sling attached for ease of use by cavalry.

Expected Difficulty: -1

Kulspruta-901E
An upgraded Kulspruta-900 designed for improved sustained fire in emplaced positions. A gunshield has been added to the gun to provide protection to the gunner. The feed belts have been improved for greater reliability and packaged in such a way as to allow easy linkage to another box of ammunition for continuous fire. A reserve water tank with a simple hand pump has been provided to allow for easy refilling of the water tank without exposing oneself to enemy fire.

Expected Difficulty: 0

Kulspruta-901 Rörlig
A further modified Kulspruta which has been lightened further, fitted with an improved bipod, and set up to allow for rapid barrel changes.

The barrel changes have allowed the cooling fins and most of the shroud to be deleted as well as thinning the barrel. This reduces weight even further, allowing for the potential to fire the weapon easily from the shoulder. A carry handle is attached to each barrel that can act either to aid in changing a hot barrel or carry the weapon even without the sling added previously. Multiple barrels are provided to the weapons team, the spares to be issued to the ammo bearers.

The improved bipod is able to provide some degree of rotation in all axis while also providing sufficient resistance to movement to remain stable. It can also be folded up to be relatively flush with the gun to prevent snagging on terrain or the soldiers uniform and equipment.

Expected Difficulty: ?

Enhetlig Rustning 901
This project is an improvement to our uniforms in the face of the deadly shrapnel now sweeping the battlefields. It consists of a thicker, full helmet which covers the forehead, most of the ears, and neck down to the upper back. A double sided fabric cover has beed provided with the helmet, one side for woodland camouflage, and the other for a winter pattern.

In addition, a cuirass with a gambison underlayer has been provided to protect the torso from shrapnel. This "flack armor" fits underneath the current uniform as not to obstruct a soldier's ammunition supply. These additions are NOT intended to stop rifle fire, only shrapnel.

Expected Difficulty: ?

M1899 8.0cm Fält Kanone Mk.II
An update to our Fält Kanone which increases the barrel and breach thickness to allow for a longer and heavier shell, which now comes in two pieces; the shell itself and what previously was the casing, now filled entirely will powder and capped off.

Provision has also been added to the carriage to allow for accurate indirect fire, to allow for the bombardment of enemy positions while remaining beyond range in defilade.

Expected Difficulty: ?

He might be saying he'd be ok with either option. Only the highest voted will get chosen.

I had a new idea, so I'm changing my vote.

Raketgevär-901
The Raketgevär-901 is a short tube designed for the shoulder launching of a single small Ajax rocket by a team of two infantryman. There is an ironsight on the left side for ranges of 50yards, 100yards,, 200yards and 400yards. The weapon is fired from a simple "Trigger" connected to a magneto-sparker system, where the safety disconnects the magneto from the rocket's electrical ignitor.

After firing a new rocket can be placed in the tube launcher by the assistant gunner and attached to the electrical contacts at the rear of the tube.

You rolled a 7!

The Raketgevär-901 is a fine example of a light infantry weapon. Accurate to a point and simple to aim and reload it is loved by newly trained rocket teams though the ever present danger of backblast prevents its use while dug into the trenches and keeps it as a purely assault weapon, the shooter needing to expose himself over the wall of the trench to fire. The lack of a blast shield and the use of a light artillery rocket also means that the shooter must close his eyes before firing or risk scorching his eyes from the rocket motor, as well as wear thick leather mittens to avoid burning his hand which makes reloading a chore and requires a designated loader at all times.

It is now the Design Phase once the battle report is made.

Quote from: kulsprutepistol-902
The Kulsprutepistol-902 or KPP-2 for short is an answer for our troops' need for a machine gun that is more portable and handy than our Rörlig lmg and a weapon they can use in the close confines of the trenches. the KPP-2 as the name suggests is a machine pistol, chambered for a 8X25 mm pistol cartridge. It uses a simple open bolt blow-back action making use of the recoil to cycle the bolt. The KPP-2 is loaded with fro the bottom using either 30 round double stack box magazines or 50 round drum magazines. as the gun is open bolt design ejection port has a dust cover that can slide over the opening and acts as a safety preventing the bolt from closing while the cover is over the port. the gun comes with a wooden stock to allow soldiers to shoulder the gun for more accurate fire, it has an overall length of 80cm(31.5) with a barrel length of 25cm(9.8inches.)

Reproposing this:

Tunneler's Gear

As war on the surface turns into a bloody stalemate, it becomes apparent that we need to dig in and entrench ourselves to prevent losing any hard-fought ground. To facilitate this, we have created a set of tools to both fortify our own positions and undermine our enemy's, dependent on terrain. Softer earth calls for the use of the "clay kicking" technique, where one digger is reclined on a board and uses a scoop-like shovel at their feet to dig through the soil and clay without causing too much disturbance - or noise. When harder earth and stone are met, short-handled mattocks are used to break down the rock.

Tunneler's Gear also includes measuring equipment, surface maps, and flashlights to aid in accurately digging to and under enemy fortifications. Tunneler's Gear, finally, includes satchel charges containing a dozen sticks of relatively stable TNT. The sticks can be connected to a blasting machine with a spool of wire, and pushing down on the T-shaped handle of the machine will set off the electrical generator inside, sending a charge down the line and triggering the explosives. Tunnelers can wire more or less TNT to the machine based on need, 12 is just the standard number given out in any one satchel.

And proposing this:

'Bunkrastjärna' Anti-Infantry Incendiary Emplacement

Taking ground is nice and all, but not losing it is even better. To prevent territory from being overrun we will be installing 'Bunkrastjärna' emplacements along our fortified lines. Tanks of pressurized propellant gas and a thick, sticky fuel are installed in the floors beneath thin metal hatches. The pressurized gas sprays the fuel out of a hose when a trigger on the hose is depressed. An igniting wick lights the spraying fuel as it passes the end of the nozzle. The hoses lead from the tanks to mounts in the bunker's firing ports designed specifically to hold the hoses with thin gun shields to help keep the gunners at least a little safer. The fire hoses are intended spray their dense, sticky streams of flames out to 50 meters. Opening the hatches also lifts the tank storage slightly to make removing and installing tanks a little easier. Once the hatches are closed smaller hatches on the hatches can be opened up for installing the hoses with minimal tank exposure.

And also this:

Weaponized Aerosol Rocket Containing Reagents Inducing Many Extreme Symptoms (WARCRIMES)

WARCRIMES are rockets containing payloads of the new and improved phosgene and chlorine gases! WARCRIMES are designed to be fired from the Ajax and Raketgevär-901. It's WARCRIMES, what else is there to say?

Ignoring the Siren's allure of WARCRIMES, this is the best option I'd say, given the current state of warfare.

Warcrimes can always happen later I guess. Even if tunneler's gear doesn't massively help offensively, getting a little more asymmetric advantage on the defensive should give us some wiggle room to get a little riskier with weapony proposals, maybe eat a failure if we have to. And as much as Flamethrower Bunkers would be fun, the digging will probably help more across the board. Either way though, holding the enemy at bay would give me more confidence to try something like this:

Quote from: 'Hästbita' Rocket Propelled Grenade
The Hästbita is a weapon system meant to be fitted to bayonet lugs on our existing equipment. The Hästbita consists of a cupped metal plate with a long square peg below center and a circular divot above. A handle runs beneath the weapon's stock and contains the lever that triggers the ignition magneto.

The rocket grenades are small finned rockets about 25cm long . A hollow square tube runs through a portion of the rocket to make sure it is fitted properly onto the peg. When fit onto the peg improperly, the rocket will not slide into the cupped plate and will therefore not fire. When slid on correctly, a thick pin in the bottom of the rocket slips into the divot on the plate. This creates contact with the launcher's circuit. When the firing lever is depressed the charge runs through the rocket and sets off a primer that ignites the propellant. There isn't a lot of propellant, just enough for a few seconds of powered flight

A dial near the rear of the rocket is used to set the fuze to Impact, 3, 5, or 10 seconds. The timers start once the rocket ignites.

The warheads on the rockets can contain around 100g of material for rounds of the same sort as the Ajax - High Explosive, Smoke, or Incendiary. We have also included Fragmentation and Flare rounds.

Because why even try normie grenades when we can make everything into rockets like a weaponized middle school science fair project
