Conceive another poem, something about the weather this time maybe.

Poetry is good. Let's not forget the basics though!

Examine self.
Examine surroundings.
Consult memory!
What's that symbol over the bars mean?

Aaaah so you thought it was I who was rhyming while really it is I who is timing.

Rule number one: All responses to the forum game have to be in the form of poetry!

Good or bad, makes no difference. It's the thought that counts here.

He learned to be human, born from an egg that year,
And aimed to reap the authentic Way’s fruit.
He lived in a fine place by kalpas untouched.
One day he changed, expending vim and strength.
Craving high place, he flouted Heaven’s reign,
Mocked saints and stole pills, breaking great relations.
Evil, full to the brim, now meets retribution.
We know not when he may find release.

The brash, baneful monkey in revolt against Heaven
Is brought to submission by Tathāgata.
He drinks melted copper to endure the seasons,
And feeds on iron pellets to pass the time.

Tried by this bitter misfortune sent from the Sky,
He’s glad to be living, though in a piteous lot.
If this hero is allowed to struggle anew,
He’ll serve Buddha in future and go to the West.

The pellets are ready
And the fire is steady
So warm the pot
And ready the stock
Soon copper will be melted
Thirst quenched and smelted

Free of desire,
Free of sin,
Tug on bars,
Yelling "Let me in"

Wait for words to be said
Watch for something to be made
Not that good with rhyme
Maybe another time

poetry!

...fine.

It is said that he who leapt to world's end
Could not escape the Buddha's palm.
Still, the proud fool does not cease his leaping.
Know thyself, and be free.

A poem attests to this:

Inside the prison, all was trembling;
The clouds outside were scattered.
Iron Monkey's mind, cluttered and sharp;
Monkey's iron needle, balanced and quick.
Who in heaven and earth could have predicted
That containing disorder would beget disorder?
Captured water transmutes to mist;
The grasping mind loses all it clutches.

Like flowers in the mirror
And the moon's reflection in the sea:
The great sage equalling heaven
Equalling heaven, escapes heaven.

Two sides of a flipped coin
Solve for most of the choices
Forward one and up twenty
That is the direction of the one they call Monkey

But what is his story.
And why did he end up here?
History.
For that we must look at the past/

Okay class,
Any questions on the mind?
Because otherwise
yall gota put up with more of these (bad) rhymes.

Are we cursed to rhyme?
Or are our vocals made to chime?
How does a monkey even know words?
These are the questions I ask for a concept so absurd.
