OOC:  Note for GM.  So I might be overstepping my bounds assuming the tower starts with a garden.  Worst case scenario, say none of the plants survived the journey and Vern throws his efforts into something more appropriately basic at the tower.

Nope, perfect time to say you want a garden or any other additions! There will be opportunities later to add additions as well.

(I knew I never should of gotten on that boat) While Jack would uhm totally love to hang out with his fellow err wizards and help build the tower. That sounds much too scary trivial for a great wizard such as Jack so he will instead start investigating the surrounding area preferably avoiding contact with everyone else as much as possible not intentionally of course that would be silly! Its just uh those rocks over there look like they need errr counted and Jack needs a ton of concentration for such a task! So yes Jack shall search around the island and categorize plus count what supplies and resources are available in the immediate area.

Wisenwald had always always had the most unusual effects on people, his incessant trivia and unusual invulnerability to reason made him quote a hit-or-miss figure among the pleasantry. Often people around him would become incredibly annoyed, or fall asleep from his soliloquies.

Though, truly his unique personality was most useful when looking for monsters. For some reason, he rarely had difficulty finding some. From Wisenwald's perspective, it's obviously because he's a master tracker. Yet in reality, it's because he's quite loud and tasty looking.


Wisenwald goes around trying to use magic to collect monsters for study and taming/training. If he can't do so, he just clears out as many as he can, collecting loot as he goes.

GOLD GLORIOUS GOLD!  I ahem I mean, I think the gold would be excellent to sleep on and make us very prestigious and such.  Let's just make sure not to invite more pesky adventurers here.  Will probably get enough of the annoying things as is so no wizard guards!

As much as sleeping on or uh runecrafting with the gold would be wonderful I should go hunt around the island and "visit" the villagers.

Bartolemproze slurps in deep contemplation. "Yessh, the Morning's Glory, while useful, would ultimately be an expendable asset, simply waiting for the next nefarious sea monster to devour it. Better to invest in more permanent options. Like a really fancy tower and the giant crystal to protect it."

"Taking on a debt from the Doge seems well worth it for the benefits we will gain, and having any sort of relationship with a nearby influential ruler is most likely to be a good thing. We will have to get involved in local geopolitics at some point or another if we want to fulfil the purpose of the council in providing a safe haven for wizardkind. Yesh. Certainly the Doge is unlikely to attack us while he still has a debt from us to call upon."

Bartolemproze uses sympathetic magic to form connections with various massive building blocks of the future tower, allowing him to lift them into the air and slot them into place with relative ease. He places various hexes on the outer walls that would curse would be thieves attempting to scale the tower with various deformities, blindness, old age and amnesia.

Assuming the Giant Floating Crystal is approved by the council, Bartolemproze takes care to integrate it into the functioning of the tower itself, allowing the tower to serve as a control/guiding rod for the crystal.
