And another, a gray bird, went out; and to him, who sat on it, it was given to take joy from the worlds, and that mortals would mope despondently; and a great mace was given to him.

"Life is misery.
Misery loves company.
Weep with me, creatures.
"

Old Long Cygne contributes 1 power to the Yes.

"My mace is as dull as a bean dip.
My tears are as black as a cheese dip.
My rage is as dark as an unconscious lark.
I wish I could shave with a soul whip.
"

Old Long Cygne adds 3 power to the Great Manifold Aegis.

Dalarin warns of the oncoming attack from the abyss, and also that the predecessors were destroyed for creating too much.
He demands a halt to all creation for this turn while the chaos is still high, lest one of the primordial beasts disturbs the abyss and renders everything annihilated again.
He casts his gaze at nothing, pondering escape as he recalls his mice from the abyss and prepares to hunt or be hunted.

"Qwuck! I'm not sure1, but if I counted teeth correctly, the only way to prevent chaos overflow is to destroy one or more worlds. As we are currently stuck at post-critical levels. Doing nothing will accomplish, appropriately enough, nothing. Qwuck."

"Good thing we're making the Aegis to protect us!"

1: Qwuck is pretty sure he is bad at math. He hasn't even learnt math yet, and is relying entirely on this weird new divine intuition thing of his that he's not sure where he got from.

The Overmind not trusting people to care for it’s safety, Creates a Heroic Artifact with three power to protect itself.

Name: Absolute Shield
Class: Heroic Artifact
Description: A small golden shield covered in twisting eldritch runes, It glows with a white light.

Qualities: Shield
- Barrier: It creates a seemingly impenetrable barrier out of golden light when used. (Tier 4 and 5 can easily break this however.)
- Warning: It glows a light red whenever someone with evil or bad intentions comes near the user.
- Soulbound: Unable to be stealed unless the user dies.

From the abyssal black, the end of all light comes. DARKWING.

"Quack."

They search far and wide for a place to lay their feathers, the rest their wings, avoiding gods and chaos.

There is no place to rest, all shall be destroyed. As expected, there are too many would-be gods. To the point they would create many weapons to fight the abyss, only to turn upon one another.

I shall sleep a while.

From blood-black feathers Darkwing weaves a pillow of finest down and shadows from their Ichor, bestowing it with 5 power the ability to heal and soothe, the rest granted to the dark.

Quote
Name: The Dark Throne
Class: Divine Artifact
Description: A black pillow of unimaginable color, light does not seem to escape it, yet black light is clearly doing so. The feel of the feathers is like water, and the pillow smooth as the abyss to touch. One would think you could sink into it and sleep, forever.

Qualities:
-Rest of the Darkwing: Restores Ichor to Darkwing when he Rests upon it's fluff. [Rest is defined as performing no other actions.]
-Abyssal Sheathe: Creates a layer of darkness, black as the abyss, around the user while they rest. It can be considered a pocket within the abyss itself, a bed on the go. As such, the Beasts rampages will not touch the one using it. [Lesser Beings will be corrupted by it's influence.]
-Nega-Throne: Stores itself within Darkwing's feathers when not in use.

Darkwing promptly takes a nap for 2 turns, the abyssal sheathe closing behind with a quack a ways out from the planetary bodies.

Every God has recovered 3 Power.

From the Abyss, a host of feathered beings emerges. Four forgotten beasts of might divine!

(The other players may now post)

Thinawan appeared with a posed look - its wings outstretch and its beak aghast at Creation. His teeth clattered and shook and wrought terrible tears.

"Foolish manner of impudent children; touching at your creative organs and peeling back the essences into the fundament."

"No help to the perimeter is possible, but the hold must be maintained. Consume, cannibalise, feed; must remove the children-tender."

Crude compendium updated!

Aiming for a turn around MONDAY. A lack of answer will be processed automatically according to GM interpretation!

INSIDE THE COSMOS

Quick description of the Cosmos
Two Divine Worlds exist in the Cosmos: Doughnut and Laak's Garden. A plethora of Lesser Worlds, Dis Subluminaries, orbit around Doughnut.

Doughnut:
Quote
A massive torus shaped Divine world formed out of several Fused divine worlds, as a result of its shape and circumstances- it has 3 "separate" gravitations, firstly you have the "reduced" gravitation of its "inner ring" or the portion of land that faces itself- secondly you have the "standard" gravitation of its "middle" rings or the two continuous rings that neither face "hole" nor "Doughnut", finally you have the "seasonal" gravitation of its "outer ring" which is caused by the orbiting planet of Hole and its one year cycle of movement around this world.
The Ichor of Dalarin and Infernose formed two poles which diffuse the power of their spheres. The farther you are from these poles, the weaker this influence is.

Laak's Garden:
Quote
Laak's Garden is a caustic world composed of two oceans and a wide band of extremely dense metal. This planet is stripped of all influences save that of Laak, as agreed upon by the participating gods, in echange for Laak contributing an ichor. Each ocean is a swirling mass of salts, acids, heavy metals, and other elements caught in an endless and orchestrated cycle of combination, degredation, dispersal, and reintegration. These churning masses of chemicals and dangerous materials form the two swirling oceans of Laak' Garden, spewing foul fumes and precipitates into the smog this planet calls air. The two oceans are separated by a thick band of metal, formed incredibly dense not only by the creation of the donut world, but further compressed into a stronger stock by the work of Laak, an interlocking system alloys built by the dexterous hands of Laak. Powerful winds blow across this thick band of exposed metal, constantly tearing across the surface of the world at incredible speeds, which provides uncontaminated air to the majority of the strip, and separates the fumes of the two oceans. Ten large concave depressions can be found upon this band, spaced at regular intervals. These depressions provide protection from the devastating winds, and the worst of the caustic effects of the foul oceans. The planet is ripe with systems of cyclic nature, from the ever changing chemical oceans, to the erected weather patterns, and dense metal that serves as the land and basis for the planet. Truly it is a place of horrifying beauty.

Dis Subluminaries:
Quote
Various (however many I get for the cost) enormous plasma globe full of divine light, roughly the size of large moons relative to the Doughnut World, which will be set into chaotic but collision-safe orbits therearound (including through the hole); each of which illuminates any living being that sets foot on it with a glowing filament of plasma, which also symbolically represents that being's soul, connecting it to that globe's Core. The surface of each globe is like rock in every way except that it is transparent; pebbles and soil weathered from it resemble glass beads. Each also has a normal breathable atmosphere and water, which are not unusual in any way.

(WIP)

Laak creates an Aspect Level Servant

Name: Laaklang
Class: Aspect
Description: Laaklang is an Aspect of Laak. They are a roaving skittering mass of thousands of mechanical arms. Carried by these arms are roaring machines, wild oblong things with mouths of saws and terrible innards of grinding gear and clattering mechanism. They move in an ungulating motion as their many hands rise and fall in fractal geometric patterns, dragging and lifting the ominous bulks of their "bodies" across the strip of land that encircled Laak's Garden.

Laaklang is the guardian of the garden and constantly patrols the planet in a clockwise migration of uncomfortable speed. They constantly collect any materials or life not created by Laak and stuff it into their sour gullet, along with the fetid waters of the chemical seas, to produce new mechanical beings out of whatever materials Laaklang can find. These lesser forms are similar to Laaklang, having the same ability to form offspring from the materials around them. These creatures are called Lashagi. This process removes all non-System influences and ejects them into space towards the Donought World, leaving behind neutral or System materials.

Traits:
- Guardian of the Garden: Constantly patrols the planet and repurposes anything Laak doesn't expressly permit there into Lashagi. Lashagi are servants of Laak as well and share all the same traits as Laaklang including the ability to make Lashagi, appropriately powered to their source materials.
- The Constructing Construct: Creates Lashagi (Ishagi from GoC, but setting appropriate. Will provide further details later if necessary).
- The Roaming Factory: Laaklang is an Aspect, they're very powerful and swift due to their calculated movements and strikes.
- The Spherical Cannon: Any influences of Spheres that are not either approved by Laak, or belonging to the System Sphere, are instantly (and Systematically) sifted from the raw materials and shot towards the donut world in a beam of Sphere Energy. This process leaves behind the raw materials involved, which are used in Lashagi construction.

2 Activities: Grab as many of the Peeps and throw them into the Whole Leaf Box as LOL can possible can, direct them to teleport to one of the divine worlds forcibly (currently the torus world), etc

3 Acts to the Great Manifold Aegis, grab a legendary artifact, then cope

Legacy of Chaos: Wardens of the Abyss
OOC

Turn 2: Cataclysm

The world has been engulfed in an endless torrent of flames and an unending storm of time.
The Abyss advances, the Cosmos recoils.
Drunk on Chaos, the Beasts one by one lay waste to Creation.
Screaming flames, thunderous waves, cracking cosmos.
They call for the Abyss.

Great Chaos was wrought by the Gods unhinged acts of Creation. The weight of the worlds and the titanic energies raised to give them shape had caused a catastrophic overflow of Chaos.
And whether it would be a blessing or a curse for the World, the state of Chaos had caused the emergence of four new Gods: Qwuck, Darkwing, Thinawan, and Old Long Cygne.

But this sight did not make Dalarin flinch: the Lord of Secrets' eyes were gazing at something deeper and more dangerous, moving within the Abyss. With a solemn warning and reminder of what caused the fall of the Old Lords, Dalarin warned that if nothing was done, they may soon share the same fate. For within the Abyss, something hostile was coming.

Taking the words of Dalarin to heart, the Gods prepared for the coming tide.

The Great Manifold Aegides

Two of the new feathered Gods joined powers with two of the first Gods in order to craft weapons to defend themselves.
Letting Iniungo design the weapons, Old Long Cygne, Qwuck, and LOL focused their Power into the living lightning that would act as forge and material for their craft.

Soul-plasma was given shape, and with a grand crackle from the thunderforge emerged the Aegides, enough to outfit an entire army, and enough for each Gods to wield several of them.

The Yes, Varied and Many

With the Cosmos in a catastrophic state and the imminent attack from the Abyss, three Gods decided it wasn't that bad, and that these circumstances were actually ideal to seed the worlds with life: Qwuck, Old Long Cygne, and Iniungo. Brainstorming furiously together about what life to create, they decided that everything was the answer, apart from waterfowls.

With all the power they could muster, they could create as many species of creatures as needed to fill an entire Divine World. Did that even matter to them? If one were to peer into their minds... nah. Given the time and situation, they probably hadn't even though that far. Featherbrained fowls. Ahem.

A powerful conjunction of Fate, combined with the haphazard thoughts of the three Gods caused all the Yes to be placed on Dis Subluminaries. The Gods had decided to start from the smallest worlds to the biggest, but when they were done with Dis Subluminaries, there wasn't any Yes left to put on Doughnut! What a conundrum.

Nay! Sprinkled like sugary powder on a cake, the Gods created pockets of life on the many, many worlds.

Spoiler: The Yes (Species) (click to show/hide)

Frogs in a Loaf Box

Horrified by the terrible fates that befell the Peeps, LOL gathered the scattered survivors of the corrupted species in order to save them from the rampage of the Beasts. Infernose, in order to help the Lord of Trolling, created from its own blood Ichor a Divine Artifact to keep them safe from the elements and themselves.

Then, Infernose pondered the Cosmos and the Abyss.

***

As for the rest of the Gods, they individually prepared in different ways.

***

Darkwing: the Dark Throne

Darkwing, Lord of Darkness, bled a drop of Ichor. From this drop and strands of darkness, they wove the Dark Throne, a Divine Artifact of great power in order to hide outside of the Cosmos, at the edge of Abyss.

Laaklang, Aspect of Laak

Worried for their garden, and what the attack of hostile beings could possibly inflict on his world, Laak split its soul and gave it will. The Lord of Systems severed one of the arms in which they had focused their divine essence, and the arm grew more arms, and let out a word from its countless serrated mouths: Laaklang.

Sent to the Garden, the Aspect set out to work.

Overmind's Absolute Shield

The ever observing Overmind conjured a shield that would protect them, distrustful of the other Gods. This powerful artifact was called the Absolute Shield.

CHAOS SCALE

The state of Chaos is CRITICAL [12].
Temporary Chaos: 8
Permanent Chaos: 4
Order Equilibrium: 0

Sources of Temporary Chaos
Divine Worlds creation: 6 (1 turn left)
Lesser Worlds creation: 2 (1 turn left)
(these will expire next turn!)

Sources of Permanent Chaos
Divine Worlds: 3
Lesser Worlds: 1

PRIMORDIAL RIPPLES

THE BEASTS ARE RAMPAGING

Fate: The Dragon is still unleashing its flame on the World! Fates keep being annihilated!
Time: The Leviathan keeps vomiting out of control time! The effects on life and civilizations will be catastrophic!
Cosmos: The Behemoth remains recoiled on itself!
Abyss: The Abyss is expanding, and a howling can be heard from the outer depths.

Activities:

LOL, Lord of Trolling and Laughing

The rescue plan of the Peeps went flawlessly. Few in numbers and not particularly trying to hide, LOL managed to grab all of them one by one and stuff them in the Whole Loaf Box provided by Infernose.

Infernose, Lord of Cooked Wheaten Products

Dalarin, Lord of Knowledge and Secrets
