"I think I am called... Aa-tou-tou Lesia? I think you should call me Aa. What is a glutton? Is it tasty?"

Ho! Ho! Ho!  A Glutton, little Aa, is a homunculus who eats things.  I have been told that we can eat anything.  For example, I just ate the distance that was between us and the village, and here we are!  Although, I must say, I wasn’t expecting it to literally split the air! Ho! Ho! Ho!”, Hugh laughs, gesturing wide.  “By the way, may I inquire as to what kind of humonculus you are?  Do you want to link needles with me? I can link with up to two more people…”, Hugh inquires.

"Needles? To what are you referring?" Aa stops running around trying to catch fireflies for a moment and gives a questioning look.

This.”, Hugh responds, pointing to his own needle.  “Ho! Ho! Ho!  You are full of questions, Aa!”  Hugh then explains to Aa about linking needles and all of the other things that can be done with them.  “Do you know about what your gloves and robe can do, little one?”, Hugh inquires.

((Since I'm not enamored to read the entire thread, could you also explain to me what they do? >.>))

"They are to protect my hands, right? If I have to hold aside a thorny vine, I'd prefer to have gloves. And the robes will keep me from becoming too cold in the woods."

In a free moment, Aaron tells those he is with "No-one here has any concrete idea what is causing this. You might hear some interesting stories if you asked what they think is to blame. I'm gong to see what I can figure out about the Geenveil place. It might be the source of the problem, or it might be a good base of operations. Or even both!"

Aaron then attempts to know which quarter of the forest Greenveil is in, and if any intelligent being lives there now. He also relinks with Grey, since he just showed up, and the link dissolved.

Fort is running at 21 FPS, the ground is having a panic attack in places, and what looks like a conga line of zombified Hungry Heads has formed on (I think) Z-level 32 of the caverns.
I love dwarven status reports.

"Going to this Greenveil place sounds like it might be quicker than traveling the forest paths for a few days in hopes of something happening. I'll see if I can find out anything as well."

Not having any magic databases in his head, Grey asks around the village to see if anyone has been to Greenveil before, in hopes of getting directions or a guide. He also probes the people he talks with a little in hopes of getting details on this depravity they were known for.

He relinks with Aaron and Youare.

List of the functions and which equipment uses them according to what we already know:

Gloves
Protection, (cross arms, overlapping wrists to form a shield in front of you)
Remote viewing, (close eyes, look through the eyes on the palms of the glove. only works with your own gloves. Gloves do not need to be worn for it to work)
gloves also allow us to hold magical objects without being affected, or to push magic out of objects.

Robes
storage, (sleeves are hammerspace)
environmental regulation, (also works with gloves)

Needles
siphoning of magical power,
fusion of materials, (tap with pointy end, tap second material with handle end.)
perception of the unseen, (look through the eye of the needle for this)
linking of sound, vision, and physical person, (I am unclear on this one. Our needle links might be this. but what does linking physical person mean?)

?
Teleportation, (I have been unable to figure out how this works. Feel free to ask about it) (Probably talking about the conduit, actually)
transpositional movement, (pulling thread of needle link?)
servitude,
telekinesis,
shape shifting.

((Quoting for Egan_BW’s benefit.  I believe there are a few things that were discovered since this list was compiled and therefore not in it.  Ozarck, do you think you could keep the quoted post updated as new information comes in and keep a link to it in your posts?

((Looks pretty good.  Better than what I quoted above, even.  You may want to add that the links are broken after needle teleportation (and, therefore, require relinking).  Also, I didn’t see what Hugh discovered.  If you look through the eye of the needle while pulling on a link (without letting go), you can see as if out of the needle of the person the link is connected to.))

(Ah right, added them in. I also added that you can get replacement items from the equipment box if your stuff winds up damaged.)

((I just checked, and I don’t see what Hugh discovered in there.  Please see the result of Hugh’s second experiment in this post by Piecewise, which I summarized in my previous reply to you.))

(It's in there, the third entry from the bottom of the needles section. Though I did use different words than what's in your summary.)

"It seems to me that the logical thing would have been to have a tracker attempt to find their last known location, with a decently large group accompanying them to escort and help with any rescues. Did you try it?"

It is encrusted with sharkmist and HMRC. On the item is an image of HMRC and Pancaek. Pancaek is laughing. The HMRC is melting. The artwork relates to the encasing of the HMRC in metal by Pancaek during the Mission of Many People.))
