We know we don't have as much money as Nuke does, but we can't just pay out bribes every time he threatens to force a smaller player out of a bid

I offered to transfer OALM’s bid on E2667 to NOCOF. If you wanted them, you didn’t have to raise the bid. Furthermore, you already told me you don’t want E2667. You could’ve changed your mind, but it kinda feels like you expect me to raise our bid for them- that you bid on them with the sole intention of causing OALM grief. Do you even have the cash to make those bids?
I would also object to your characterisation of an offer to resolve the issue without getting into a big bid war as some sort of shakedown. I was asleep when the turn came out, so first-come-first-served is not a reasonable way of determining who gets a candidate.
Anyway.

The fact of the matter remains that you can, will, and have forced a faction smaller than yours out of a bid.  Neither of us wanted to get involved in a bid war, but you saw a hunter you wanted and used your larger capital to force it.  Granted, when you came to us, you were asking for an "incentive" not to throw your weight against us, so I guess it's unfair for me to say you were asking for a "bribe" not to throw your weight against us.

It doesn't matter, I guess.  No one can really compete with you guys any more
