Ochyrosi looked up as two mugs of beer were set down on her table. Some kid, not even twenty, was looking at her with... the usual expression of awe and terror.
"Fuck off, kid", she said half-heartedly.
The youth ignored this directive, and sat in an empty chair, pushing one of the beers her way. She took a closer look at him. Actually, there was something more in his expression. Something she couldn't quite place. As most things did, this made her angry.
"You deaf? I said fuck off."
"I- I- brought you a beer", the youth stammered.
She regarded the mug before her.
"You brought me pigswill, you mean. I ain't drinking that shit. I don't know who put you up to this, but they were messing with you. Go home, and leave me the fuck alone!"
"I'm Eraman", Eraman said, continuing to ignore her. "I- I- heard you like cats"
Ochyrosi was temporarily flummoxed. This was not how these conversations went. As with all things, she fixed this by getting even angrier.
"Fuck you. I'm allowed to like cats. Do you have any fucking idea who you're messing with, kid?"
"I'm not- I mean- that is- uh, my master has a cat... I could show her to you?"
Ochyrosi stood up, knocking over her chair. "FUCK OFF, KID", she yelled- loud enough to silence the rest of the Tavern.
Eraman trembled in his seat, but didn't get up. "I- there are some stray cats I could show you instead?"
Ochyrosi slammed a fist on the table, grabbed the mug of beer and threw the contents at Eraman. She then stormed off, the crowd moving aside to let her pass.
"They're in the small cavern on the third level!", the dripping Eraman shouted after her.
