The Pygmy Graspers were an interesting sort, shedding much of their larger cousins' body mass to account for leaner diets and greater bursts of quick locomotion. As the Graspers became smaller and more agile, they found more protection under the shade and nooks of the Shielded Jungle, it was not uncommon for their kind to co-mingle with the larger Bespeckled Graspers, whom dominated the large omnivorous niche.

Despite this, the little fuzz balls, whom mainly bore only difference in stature to the Bespeckled Graspers, began to seek sustenance elsewhere. Especially as the competition from many other species of predators such as Jungle and Tree Wyrms grew. Due to this, two subspecies of the sparsely furred Pygmy Graspers made their exodus into the newly growing Cake Topping Plains.
