Howdy folks, let's have some fun.  Too bad that nasty Nightmare has put a bit of a ticking clock on the party.

KittyTac, haven't played a mafia game with you before, what do you think is the best vote strategy to out the Nightmare?

So it's super important all the friends are clear on the rules so we have the best shot at this:

- If we dither for too long, the nightmare will kill us all eventually. With 6 players we should have 4 days until we auto-lose
- Putting the votes in hammer range is really dangerous if we haven't figured out the nightmare because if they've figured out the dreamer we all lose

Bleh, busy day - right, let's get into this.

Putting my beans on NQT. Jumping on the guy who you're taking information from seems like a Nightmare tactic - take the people out who're active/able to base a plan.

But I won't vote yet - bad idea for a micro-setup like this.. but time's ticking.

Yes, even though the actual game start occurred on Wednesday.  Slight chance of a rally on Friday, although only 4 members left later in the day.  Insufficient time to discuss.  I mean, look how few posts we have so far.  Two players might not even get a chance to post before the first elimination.

notquitethere, you say that it is super important that all the friends are clear on the rules, and yet you understate the severity of the situation.

We DON'T have 4 days until we auto-lose.  On Day 3, both the Nightmare and Dreamer know that getting fingered by the remaining Friend means death, so they'll likely push if the other one is being voted.  Day 3 is pretty awful.  Plus, the Nightmare gets their attempt to kill leading up to that day.  We DON'T have 4 days...

This works both ways, you know?  Its as much a threat for the Nightmare as it is for the Dreamer, all around.  Why don't you want us to put the vote within hammer range?

Just noticed the game started. I usually play on MS but I have a... decent amount of experience.

We have only one shot so it's best that we do not put anyone even near majority until we are sure they are the Nightmare to be sure. No associative tells because this is a solo-scum thing.
