Name: What do you go by? Doesn't have to be your real name, but it does have to be a reasonable length.
Race: What are you? Preferably keep it humanoid for simplicity, but as long as you can move and have a brain, I won't stop you from playing as a slime or something.
Description: What do you look like? Where are you from? What's your backstory? That kind of thing. Optional but appreciated.
Personality: Who are you? How do you act? Etc. Optional but appreciated.
Stats: Everyone starts at 0. You are capped at +/- 4, excluding very specific circumstances. Costs/refunds go as such: +/- 1 costs/refunds 1, +/- 2 costs/refunds 3, +/- 3 costs/refunds 6, +/- 4 costs/refunds 10. You start with 6 points to distribute as you please.
Agility: The overall speed at which you move. Helps dodge attacks, chase people down, etc.
Str: How strong your body is, both literally and in terms of taking damage. Used for picking stuff up, surviving hard attacks, etc.
Int: How fast your mind works. Helps in solving things like puzzles, reading quickly, etc.
Wis: How well your mind works. Helps in spotting small details, noticing lies, etc.
Skills: Skills are more specific than stats, but more powerful. The more specific a skill, the stronger the modifier - a skill in swinging a scimitar is going to give a bigger bonus than a skill in using swords in general, for example. You get three skills of your choosing, or alternatively one unique but powerful skill. DM me for unique skills, just so we don't clutter up the thread too much. Skills in general can increase in power, and you may gain more after your character is created.
Some examples:
Magically Gifted: +1 to learning magic.
Sword Dancer: +2 to dodging while holding two swords.
(Unique) Touched by Divinity: +3 to healing and any check relating to religion, deities, or religious figures.
Equipment: What you're starting with. This is up to you, but nothing too powerful. Again, you're not limited to fantasy gear, but I can't promise you'll have an easy time finding things like bullets or non-magical electricity. I reserve the right to ask you to remove things - so no 'destroy the universe' wands or nuclear bombs
