Turn 1.3:
The slimes ambush the Dwarves from the stream and take down 1 of the Dwarves before the others realize. The slimes use the opertunity to attack another Dwarf and kill him as well. The last Dwarf takes a swing at the slimes and 1 of them split in half. The slimes attack the last Dwarf and kill him.

Result: 1 size 2 splits to 2 size 1s; size 2s get 3 essence;

What now?
Absorb Dwarves
-size 2s(a size 2 goes to size 3)
-size 1s(a size 1 goes to size 2)
-all(random slime sizes up)

Continue exploring or return home
-if explore pick direction(except east)

Turn 1.4:
The size 1 slimes devour the dead Dwarves and 1 of the gets bigger. Then the group continues west and finds a family of humans and their wagon. There are 6 humans and one of them spots the group of slimes.

You have been discovered, what do you do?
-Attack the humans(potential size up for a slime or 2; potential lose of slimes)
-attempt to leave(potential forced combat, same results as above)

if leaving where to?(defaults to grove)
-return to the grove(starts next turn)
-explore north or south(gives another encounter roll)

Will the slimes try to run or charge I wonder.

+1 I mean family usually includes some children, but if the children are in danger the adults will probably fight harder to save them, so we're probably better off leaving them.

Turn 1.5:
The exploration group attempts to leave, unfortunately the humans eliminated a size 1 slime while they retreated. So the exploration group came back with the same size as it left. The months ends with no complications and the grove grows.

Turn results: +2 size 1s, +1 size 3; cap+2; +water tactics

Turn 1 is over, Choose Turn 2's actions:
-Explore(how many and of what size slimes)
-Expand the Grove(add 1d10 to the grove capacity)
-Consolidate slime(combine x number of slimes of a size to get x/2 of the next size)
-Split slimes(have x number of slimes of size 1> split giving x*2 of the previous size)
-Infuse new slimes in water
-Write in(???)

More option will unlock based on number of slimes, their sizes, and previous write in actions.

Turn 2.1:
The new slimes were infused with water. Due to this fact a water slime tried absorbing a bit of the forest and ate enough to size up. That slimes also got wood infusion(a subset of earth and water). There is a 7% chance that new slimes will be wood infused. Then 5 slimes were set out to explore.

What direction?

If a regular slime had absorbed a bit of the forest it would have been earth infuse. Also the exploration party will have all skills that the grove has.
