There isn't that much going on, so:Early Summer, Y1TURNTURNTURNACTACTACT: Donate five guineas to the Blind Goat in exchange for exclusive rights.
Eyepatch Odysseus gladly accepts a 5 Guinea donation, and promises the donors the fruits of his labours. In consideration of the fact that his prior donor will no longer benefit (directly) from his voyage, he refunds Emerald Robin's 2 Guineas. Having done so, he organises some last-minute supplies he had previously forgotten (like drinking water), then bravely boards the Blind Goat and casts off. As the ship sails out of the dock, only bumping into a few smaller vessels on the way, he shouts that he will be back no later than Mid Winter. People watch the Blind Goat sailing in confused circles for a while, before eventually striking out in a vaguely northwards direction.
He... he'll be fine.
[Emerald Robin EEHC receives 2 Guineas. As the donation was refunded, no further Royal Favour is earned]The Market continues to digest the Sand sold last month. Stocks are gradually emptied, but buyers are not concerned, anticipating an abundance of Sand in short order- indeed, their excitement (and thus the price) diminishes further still.
Towards the end of the month, the Nearsouth Nsailor appears on the horizon, followed by... nothing. Upon disembarking, the captain offers a partial explanation: On the journey out, they had just fallen behind the Warrick when a terrible storm struck. They were able to avoid the worst of it, but the Warrick likely took the brunt of the storm. It is improbable that the storm alone would sink the Warrick, but she will have been blown way off course. The captain has no idea what happened to the Clarisse.
The news of not one but two ships being behind schedule causes a stir in the market, with buyers suddenly modifying their projections of Sand availability- and how much they are willing to pay for it. The price increases to what it was at the start of the month.

NEW MECHANIC: Ships Headed Into Trouble. The sea is a dangerous place, you know? Ships can run into all sorts of trouble. The chance of trouble depends on the length and risks of the route, but even a short and secure route like the Nearsouthlands one poses a risk. Trouble takes on many forms: damage (resulting in the ship sinking in the worst case), delays, lost cargo, or a combination. Other ships on the same route have a chance of learning about the nature of trouble a ship runs into, which they will share upon returning to the Motherlands. A ship that does not show up on time will be listed as Missing for several months, whereafter it will be assumed lost and stricken from the list of ships.
