"That does not seem to bode well for our future." Reed says, shaken sounding, as he stares at Isha's collapsed form.

4th Hour of Morning, Day 2: Surprise!

Red Group
Unsure of what to do next, the captain calls to keep moving. Fenil carries Isha, possibly with some assistance.

An hour later, Isha comes to, unhappy but apparently unhurt. Her ordeal apparently counted as a short rest, however, so she is now also hungry.

Continuing on, you eventually encounter two important features. The first is trees: Glorious lumber, as desired. Salty Pete sighs (whistles?) in relief.

The second is a group of bokoblins running towards you with their weapons drawn, squealing what you assume to be war cries. As before, the pirates split off to deal with some of the attackers, leaving the passengers to their own devices.

Yellow Group

With no screaming hordes pressing down on your location, you are accosted only by endless trudging.

"So... what brings you round these parts, anyway?" the fairy asks, clearly bored.

"Fruit pastries," one of the corsairs, a rito, answers.

"Not you, dingus! I know what you're here for."

"Pomegranate wine," another chimes in, apparently a... well, a stalfos, as far as you can tell. Dressed the same as all the other pirates.

"I just- wait, really?" She pulls out a tiny notebook and begins flipping through it. "I have you down for emerald-studded bathrobes!"

"You never asked about food," it corrects in a rasping, hollow voice.

"Well... yeah, I figured it'd..." She makes a "liquid pouring straight through a skeleton" motion.

The skeleton shrugs. "Same happens with everyone," it responds, somewhat resentfully.

"I gueeeesss..."

Keep this position.

((What do the brown, blue, and green tiles indicate?  Just normal terrain, or stuff like brush?  Also, what monsters do the swarms consist of; bokoblins?  Or some kind of vermin?))

((Brown is rocky terrain, blue is tidepools, green is trees. All three are Difficult Terrain, and the trees render foes Hard To Hit if they're in the way.

The swarms are poorly equipped bokoblins.))

Isha once again learns things.

"With luck, we can avoid having too much of it."

Attempt to compel surrender against the swarm of bokoblins.  Fenil has +12 to this, and I expect Bokoblins to be rational, taking a -2 penalty to their DC?  Seems like good odds of success.  Then move down and right three tiles.

Wield shield, empty hand.

"I hope I do not get immediately shot in the face again..." Reed says as he stays put and readies himself to put a Magic Salvo into the nearest swarm with the aid of his Scholar's Stave. "For that matter, now that we have found some woods, I hope I can get the materials needed to maintain my staff soon. All of this magic channeling is going to wear it out eventually otherwise."
