Spicy HG, Dani & Joan, Aurora

Spicy's expression fell a bit flat as Aurora failed to recognize her.
"We saw each other briefly in the Wartorn World, though we haven't bumped into each other since."

Aurora stared a bit closer at the girl, and after a moment or two something actually registered behind those eyes. She had never actually spoken to her before, at best they'd have met in passing. But her face was indeed among those present in that sorry realm. As for why they hadn't bumped into each other afterwards, well... it was a long story, and not one Aurora felt like telling.
"Hmmm, I do suppose you look familiar," she said, "but I don't believe I ever learned your name. That can wait though, what is it you were seeking from me?"

"I don't know if you're inclined to collecting followers, but I thought I should tell you that I've cleared out one of the Suites and built some tables suitable for shrines or such.  And I'm Spicy HG."

Humans name their children such strange things... but I suppose she's not exactly human now, is she?

"Ah, I see. Thank you for informing then. My time of maintaining a flock has long since passed, but I'm sure it will be very helpful to Mitsurugi. Speaking of which..." She glanced at Dani & Joan not too far from then, then back at Spicy. She leaned closer, lowering her voice so the (relative) children could not hear. "I can sense your nature, so there's no harm in letting you know. There is something... off going on with Mitsurugi right now. Something that I feel only the fellow divines in our group should get involved in for now. I intend to try and help her figure it out, but I will need the help of others as well. If you'd like to hear more...perhaps we can discuss it somewhere a bit more secluded."

Spicy HG, Aurora

Spicy HG frowned and nodded, keeping her voice low as Aurora did.
"Yes I was there in the last world with her.  I-" She paused, glancing back to the others, and then the door to the suites, "-Yes we should talk, there usually isn't anyone at the helm of the ship, and there are two doors between here and there."
She gestured down the hall towards the reactor room, and beyond it the helm and throne proper.

The helm... it had been a good while since she'd been in there. Never really been one to care much about the throne or the power source of the castle; back in the day they had plenty of fleshies who specialized in those matters. She wondered where they had gone, the one's she hadn't seen herself during imprisonment.
"Sounds as good a place as any," Aurora nodded, "lead the way."

Tsubasa, Osada

Though he was nowhere near the level of personal experience Tsubasa possessed, Osada was quick to notice the overhead swing coming towards him, taking a step to the left, letting the blade crash onto the ground next to him as he swung out with his right blade. Though, what would've been a clear cut ended up missing entirely as Tsubasa used the recoil to leap into the air. Still, as unexpected as the leap was, Osada was able to respond after only a moment of noting her movement and speed, narrowing his eyes as he focused on the estimated location.

Then, with a burst of speed, he dashed over to the spot, nearly skidding to a stop as he spun around and slashed upwards at Tsubasa, aiming to catch her as she landed.

Spicy HG, Aurora

Spicy HG nodded and turned.  She walked by ignoring the crackling thunder of the swordfight going on beside them in the hall and passing through the first doors into the antechamber with the humming powercore, then on into the smaller throne-bridge.  She gave the shuddered-closed windows a glance and stepped forward to check the throne itself and make sure no one was sitting on it.  Once she determined they were alone she took a position leaned against the throne from the back and looked at Aurora.
"So?"

"Well," Aurora began, "I'm sure you noticed already, if you were on the last mission with her, but she's currently starving for faith. And has been for a while. I've got a few things in the works to help that, and she's found two mortals among our ranks to become her new followers so far... but that's not what I wanted to talk about."

She took a glance at the doors and windows herself, sending out a brief pulse of positive energy as her senses expanded beyond the confines of her physical body. Satisfied that there was nothing either living, dead, or artificial besides the two of them, she finally bid it time to do what she must.
"No..." she sighed, "I fear there's an ever more serious matter at hand. Mitsurugi is... losing herself. I felt the change the last time I saw her, something... latched onto her. Something that I don't recall being there before. She herself doesn't know what's going on either, but she's quite certain her time as she is now is quickly coming to an end. And she dreads what she'll become once it does. She... told me of the incidents that occurred in the last world you visited. Was it really as severe as she described?"

"Hmph, she's not just starving, but also stanchly refusing help as well."
Spicy HG took a deep breath, closed her eyes and sighed.
"She...tried to repair a shrine and instead lightning struck the site, later we fought an Onryo and with her killing blow she uhh...bisected, delimbed, and beheaded it."
She shook her head and opened her eyes to a slightly confused look.
"She was upset over it, but at the same time I spent the entire fight setting people on fire?  That's not important though, there was something else.  The being we suspect to be working with Trespassers was already a powerful Demon King, and there was a sort of dark force pressing on all of us while we were there.  Anytime you said his name thunder cracked in the sky and both Mitsurugi and the native divine spirits had a series of red markings over their bodies, I don't think the world noticed me because of my uhh duel nature so to speak.  All the demons we fought were taunting her and I think even Lexiel could feel something wasn't right."

Her crystalline eyes lit up in what appeared to be simultaneous dread and concern, though her expression remained largely the same. Had she always been so... doll-like? "I... see. That... yes that may well be the secret to all of this. I'm going to need you to back up though; this is the first I've heard of any 'Demon King'. When did all of this begin, and what exactly happened in that world? What called you there in the first place?"

Spicy HG reached up and scratched the back of her head.
"Somehow it sounds exactly like Mitsurugi to immediately blame herself without considering what we were up against.
She gave a short chuckle, before visibly digging into her recollections.
"Let's see we found ourselves presented with a portal from the Castle.  Then eventually found out that presumably we were called to the world, Nippon I think or at least that's the island, by the Sun-Goddess Amaterasu from her shrine maiden.  She explained what was happening, Demon King vanquished in an age past was reawakening, standard prophecy stuff really.  Then one of the seal keeping Demons attacked us at the shrine and after the fight Mitsurugi seemed sort of...out of it.  Shortly after she tried to fix the shrine, Lexiel ended up summoning some warriors to do the lifting.  I can go on?"
She glanced up to see if Aurora had anything to add.

Spicy would find Aurora 'sat' (for lack of a better word) down, her diminutive form suspended in mid air with one leg crossed and a hand stroking her chin as she began to breakdown what could possibly be the meaning of all this. What she hung from was none other than a series of six incredibly long legs emanating from her back, four of them anchored to the ground and two each forming the makeshift seat her weight directly rested on. Though from the distant look of her eyes, she seemed to be barely listening, it became clear she was as she spoke up.
"Please, do. I pray my suspicions are proven wrong by the end of this.."

"Well we took the mountain pass to hunt out the next sealing demon, led by out guide to the world.  After a while we stopped at a roadside inn tucked away in the pass and discovered it had been overrun by lesser demons.  Eventually we also found the Onryo residing in the owner's place.  The battles were rough and we didn't really have a medic on the team and Lexiel's magic only goes so far, until we got reinforced at then end.  I'm pretty sure a stiff breeze would've knocked Mitsurugi over by the end at least if wind wasn't her purview.  Mitsurugi and the Spray, the Medic, went off while Lexiel, I, and our Guide freed the Inn owners.  Afterwards we returned here for a respite before we finish the job."
She paused to shift position some having finished her story.
"I don't think there's really anything else.  I was hoping being in a world so similar her home would help her recuperate some, but it seems to have only brought her more trouble."

With the tale told, she continued to sit in silence for several more moments. Her pensiveness was suddenly broken as she lifted her eyes and stared at Spicy, the same dread from earlier still there. "I think I know what may be going on. But first I need to know, did you, Lexiel, or anyone else who returned from that world begin to feel off as well? Perhaps more violent inclinations than usual, or increased irritability? I have to know how many of you were infected... What about the mortals in your party, were they acting strangely at all by the time you returned?"
