(They're not that short-lived.  They'd last a couple hours or so, if you want them to.  If not, it's just minutes.)

Newton goes to sleep now, it's been a long day of dimension-hopping and core poking and conversation.

Mira

Continuing her patrol of the castle, had almost made her way out of the area designated as the "Suites" before she came to a stop, her hand straying to her back, underneath her shadowy veil, before pulling out a shining white crystal. The White Sharicite, the material she had chosen to be her 'payment' in the previous world. She had kept it on her person for a while, wondering what she could do with it, before an idea suddenly dawned in her head.

She had no idea what it was capable of, but if she could attune it to her sword, then she'd have free reign over whatever power it possessed...

Mira will spend a crafting token to combine her sword, Black Heart, with the White Sharicite in an attempt to make her sword stronger
Mira's Syn is 12
Mira's Int is 0

Ehto

Having realized the room was as clean as it was gonna get, Ehto finally saw fit to explore more of this strange new home away from home. She knew little of what the architecture held, for there were few similarities to the stylings she was so used to back home. Aside from the massive size, at least. Home was a beast of a fortress in it's own right, both in terms of the area its many halls, corridors, and rooms covered, and in the massive grounds and forest it's old occupants had once ruled directly over.
But none of those observations did nothing to assuage her hunger. Her stomach doth protested as her mind wandered too far from anything directly related to food at the moment. She briefly considered just eating some of the broken furniture and lose stones but well... inorganic objects simply didn't do much for her. Only the flesh of flora and fauna ever shrunk the feeling back down to manageable size. Anything else just aggravated it.

As she left the suites she briefly stopped to ogle at the swordswoman she had met earlier, Mira, she was certain it was. Not out of any attraction- she wasn't even sure what the woman looked like under that helmet -but rather a fascination with the white crystal in her hand. The loud growl of her stomach was the only sign she had been there around the corner, watching, and soon she was gone again to try and silence it.

Ehto leaves the suits and heads for the ballroom!

Newton wakes up, fluffs out his feathers, and yawns, facing a new day.

Or an old day.  Maybe that was just a nap, he speculates, his brain rattling off silly ideas at mile-a-minute pace.

Nevertheless, new or old, his eyes alight on a new problem:  There isn't much decorating this lovely nest.  He needs to pick up new things.

Thinking.. it seems unlikely to steal items from the big people around here.  Most of them seem so strong, he thinks, considering the wolf-person, and the odd man with the spear.  And the others, the ones whom he only glimpsed.. they all seem strong too.  Plus I can only get a proper shiny when they die.

Better to fight with them, he thinks.  See the real enemies.  These strong people should kill them, no problem.  And it's always okay to steal from the bad guys.

Still.. I should do something to decorate this place.  Show off what I can do and make something nice for people to look at.  And, he thinks further, I should also mark this suite better.  Maybe a nameplate.

..hmm, but that one person couldn't read.  There might be more.  I'd better do a picture.

Newton goes for a crafting attempt.  He's going to try and decorate his door, with a picture of a blossoming tree branch.  In it, to represent the door as his, will be a crow's nest, with crow.  This will also include a brass nameplate with "Newton" written on it, and it'll be done in a fairly stylistic manner, to emphasize it as both a work of art and to ensure the crow is the central figure, so as to make it easier to understand for any illiterates.

He will remove his door to get it to the crafting area by using a punch or screwdriver to remove the hinges, and then, slowly from the top-down, will insert it into featherspace, wings stretched wide.  He can then remove it onto a workbench, allowing it to lie flat with the outside edge up.

The picture will be largely a relief sculpture, done with fine woodworking tools, and some paint to add colour and make the design more clear.  The nameplate will be made with whatever etching tools are available.  A slot will be made for it inside the wood, with the free edge secured by glue.

Relevant stats are 14 in Int, and 14 in Dex.  Do note that although he can move the door to a workbench, I haven't figured out a way for him to replace the door back in the doorway without external assistance yet.

Utzi's eyes dart about as he scans the castle for his quarry. He'd been looking for some time already, and had yet to find the armored colossus that he saw in the Barracks. Normally, he would rely on his senses, but the labyrinthine halls of the castle carried no scent in the wind, and were so filled with the sounds of dozens of strange warriors from across the multiverse that searching for his target by listening to the heavy thumps of feet that a warrior clad in the bones of the earth must make proved equally ineffective. And so, Utzi found himself wandering. Softly humming a sorrowful tune long lost to time, Utzi enters the suites, and finds himself face-to-face with just the person he was looking for.

Utzi clears his throat to catch the attention of the woman, before speaking. "Hello."

Mira, Utzi

It took her quite some time to infuse the Sharicite with her blade, far more than she would've liked, but it was done. While her sword barely looked any different from before, the Black Knight could already feel the difference just from holding it. It was better than before, which meant that it was, overall, a success. So, clipping her sword back on her waist, Mira prepared to move on... Only to stop when a voice spoke up beside her, causing her to turn her head to see the short man that she had passed by before, the red orbs under her helmet narrowing as he gave his greeting, "... What is it?"

Utzi holds up his hands in a placating gesture. "I apologize for intruding, but I have some questions about the trespassers that I would like answered by someone who has fought them before. I know very little about them, and you look like a mighty hunter, of the sort that probably has faced off against them before. I was hoping you would be able to tell me about what I can expect from them. How do recommend fighting them? What do they look like? Is there any parts of their body that you would recommend to hit to injure them most?"

Mira, Utzi

For a few moments, Mira didn't respond, simply opting to stare at the Neanderthal before her. After those few moments however, the knight simply gave a shrug, "Hard to say about them, really. No two Trespassers I've seen looked the same, but you can generally tell what they are by how they look compared to the rest of the inhabitants of a world. Unnatural, and generally mindless. Though as much of a threat as they are, they're still killable, even if you can't use the experience of one for another. Just engage them with the knowledge that you'll have to adapt on the fly."

Perlita

Perlita found herself wandering into the Suites by what perhaps was reflex, since she'd come here last time she'd been in this castle. Honestly, though, now she was in a much better mood than she'd been in the last time around. Gamindustri (this was still silly whenever she stopped and thought about it) hadn't been anywhere near as hellish as whatever the name of that wartorn disaster she'd joined this larger group was, so it just wasn't as... traumatizing. And the one thing that she had honestly been really, really freaked out again was just... dealt with. Her major failure in keeping everyone alive and well was now just gone completely, if 6D wasn't lying to her - and though a little doubt remained, especially because it was 6D in question... those weird crystals were powerful stuff. So maybe, just maybe, everything was actually okay for once.

So she'd kind of just headed over to the Suites, then. It was probably for the same reason as before, she guessed - if she was just going to be sitting around with nothing really in mind to do, it might as well be in the (relatively...) comfiest place in the castle. Better that than, like... a giant engine or empty ballroom or cramped barracks or something. ...she felt just a little guilty for not having anything to do planned. Just a bit.

Newton, Perlita

Newton is in trouble, as for once the black crow hadn't thought this all the way through.  Getting the door off its hinges and into featherspace?  Worked.  Getting the door onto a workbench, and properly decorating it?  Worked.  Putting it back in featherspace?  Sure, no problem.

Removing it from featherspace vertically and re-attaching it to the doorframe?  Not happening.  Not with something that's ten times or more his weight.

So the bird is stuck in the hallway, with a door half-emerged from his body and resting on the floor, mostly upright.  His wings are outstreched and the door simply seems to be emergent from the creature, as if it was fully natural for the top half of a door to be simply missing.

There is a great rush of relief at seeing the newcomer, particularly one so stylishly dressed as Perlita.  This is a tricky situation, and all the big people so far have been nice.

"Caw" he says to the black-garbed newcomer.  His current state of distress should be evident enough.

Perlita, Newton

Perlita was promptly given something to do, she supposed - but it was in a very weird scenario, even by the standards of the whole Trespasser-fighting-team thing. Or, uh, well, actually it was probably just a moderately weird situation by those standards, she couldn't help but reflect with a little awkwardness. It was a very large bird - looking like a really really really big crow. ...a really really really big crow with a very fancy door jutting halfway out of it, and Perlita really didn't quite get what was going on with that, but the bird looked like it was in a lot of trouble, so Perlita made a few stammering noises as she figured how what in the world she was doing. "A-ah- uh- erm- are you- uh- here- I'll just-" Perlita hurriedly move up to grab the door and try her best to lift. (Try was really the operative word.)

Newton, Perlita

To her surprise, the exposed half a door rises up easier than expected.  It seems the portion sticking out, the half-door, is only as heavy as half a door.. the weight of the other half just as missing as the door is.

There is a bit more shuffling, but eventually Perlita and Newton maneuver the door to the doorframe, where it can be held in place by simply leaning on it.  A couple tools appear from nowhere, and the engraved door is once again secured to the doorframe, marking this suite as Newton's.

The bird himself then bows courteously towards Perlita, and removes a book from his chest to communicate, along with a quill and an ill-gotten inkpot.  Once again he breaks out the flowery calligraphic writing, starting with:

"I thank you for your assistance.  I am a newcomer here, and I would like to know who I owe thanks to.  Are you a newcomer like myself?"

Mira, Utzi

Utzi scratches his head in contemplation of the armored woman's words. For a second, his face scrunches slightly in disappointment, but this passes quickly as he begins to talk once again.  "I... see. That is unfortunate, but if they are truly mindless, that is good news indeed. It is much easier to hunt stupid prey than smart prey. That said, even if it may not help much, could you tell me about your prior encounters? I do not know much about them except that they are somehow more dangerous than a cave bear and different every time, but... much like everything about this strange place, I cannot help but feel as though I am missing context."

Mira, Utzi

"Fine. The last Trespasser I personally fought took the form of a pile of scrap and metal, messing with the world as if it was a game. To put it into perspective, imagine fighting something that was made of a bunch of boulders and kept stealing your equipment. The other two were barely anything special, just creatures mindlessly trying to eat everything around them. We ended up dealing with the last one through a bombardment from the sky, but they were still vulnerable to having their pieces torn apart" Mira explained, folding her arms as she did so, "... Even if you can't wrap your head around the concept yet, you'll figure out when you meet one. They're hard to miss."

Mira, Utzi

This time it is Utzi's eyes that narrow slightly, as his neutral expression morphs into a grimace. "... I understand that I must seem very strange to not have come from places with such strange magics that let us build second skins out of the bones of the earth. I am sure that I must seem simple in comparison. Do not confuse that for me being stupid. I can understand something being different every time it is encountered. I will keep my eyes peeled for anything out of the ordinary behaving in a bestial fashion. Hopefully that is enough for me to correctly identify a trespasser when I see one, and not some native animal that I did not recognize simply because it is unusual like everything else I have seen since I arrived here."

Utzi takes a deep breath, shaking his head slightly as he does so. "Are you certain you can offer no other description that might be useful to someone like me who may not even know what "normal" should look like?"
