Navin hesitates a bit on hearing Utzi's description of the Trespassers, especially with the additional arrival of Mira and Mar. "They are worse than a cave bear, I suspect - as far as I know, they simply destroy everything. As for their intelligence... erh... hmm. To be honest, we still do not really know much about how they think. They are... intangible, in a way. We have only come up against beings that have been corrupted and controlled by the Trespassers, rather than in their direct physical form, whatever that may be." He scratches his head a little. "And, ah, yes. That is called "armor" and it is fairly common. I have some myself, although it is made out of materials created by beings I once fought that I suspect I would really have quite a difficult time explaining."

Utzi nods subtly in understanding. "So she killed the earth to wear it's pelt, much like I killed a mammoth for my own cloak? She must be a skilled hunter indeed." He asks, turning to face the newcomer, his eyes lighting up on the knapping tools on his back. A small smile appears on his face for the first time since arrival.

"Finally, someone that makes some sense. I have never seen a man of your kind before, but you carry the tools of a man. I am Utzi of the Wide Folk, honored elder. What manner of beast did your pelt come from? I must admit I do not recognize anything anyone here is wearing from the creatures of my lands, and it is crafted like no clothes I have ever seen."

Kraken nods, frowning. So, no central leadership, likely no organized training regime, and just from looking around it was fairly obvious that there wasn't any real resources besides those fighting.... In addition that mostly had a name and a typical plan of action to go off of for these "Trespassers". This... Is gonna suck. With a shrug he instead turns to give each of the newcomers a wave. "Ah, hello. I'm Kraken... And she walked away already, guess I'll act like I was talk to the other one." Which Kraken does so turning to the green man as if he never saw the hooded person.

"I am Mar, of Stonerist Chi.  I made this suit from the strands of a rather massive spider's web.  Much like twisting grass for rope, there exist ways to twine strands into cloth.  A pelt made by hand, rather than by beast.  The materials of these people's armor is much the same," he says, gesturing to the others.

"The moonsilver, I believe, came from deep underground.  Some rare stones can be melted like ice to yield more useful metals, materials that reflect like water.  Though just as ice requires a strong flame to melt, stones require even greater flames," he explains.

"I would not know much more than that, I am afraid.  Me and my people thrive by our work with stone, not with metal.  Your own work is quite impressive, to say the least.  Obsidian speartips are always a useful thing to have."

"I look forward to working with the two of you.  Should you need anything produced, I am a deft hand at producing tools, magical or otherwise.  The laser weapons on this castle are my own design, for instance," he says, in a single offhanded remark expressing a 180 on his earlier primative demeanor.

Utzi thinks about what Mar said for a moment, and nods. "That does make... some sense. I do not think I quite understand, but this has illuminated some things for me." Utzi removes one of his spears from his back, and examines it. "I thank you for noticing my spears, the obsidian was hard to find, but if you wish to kill a mammoth, it is well worth the effort. While I am accustomed to making my own tools, I'm sure your sage advice would help me produce even better things, Elder Mar."

He nods.  "The greatest thing I can aspire to as I am is to teach.  Your work is of fine quality, and yet..." Mar pulls out his billet, along with a chunk of rock.  He scrutinizes the rock, searching it for something only he can seemingly notice.

With a single forceful strike, the rock in his hand breaks apart into an intricate sculpted knife, chunks and powder falling away from the stone in the impossible process. "...With experience comes yet greater things.  My own tribe has pursued knapping to the exclusion of all other arts, so while other orcs pursue the breaking of beasts, or the breaking of metals, or breaking of codes or bonds, my own tribe has chosen stone to break."

"And that which we break, we orcs improve," he demonstrates, using the knife to saw away at a chunk of rock, the stone failing to blunt the edge as it is slowly ground away.

Utzi raises his eyebrows at the display of skill. "That is impressive indeed. I cannot possibly claim to have such skill. I have a little skill in knapping, but what you have accomplished here would take me hours. I am also good with the hides of beasts and the flesh of trees, but clearly the Orcs know more than the Neanderthals do about the ways of stone." Utzi says, placing the spear back onto his back.

"I don't have my crafting tools with me, as I was on a hunt when..." Utzi stares off into the distance for a moment, as small crystals of ice begin to form on his skin. "...the glacier.'

L, Lyra, Alexandria, Mira

L followed her impromptu guides into the barracks area, entering through the smithy. It took her a moment to notice the third person there; now that the fight was over, the exhaustion was starting to hit. I'm starting to think the name of this thing was more ironic than I meant. She was mid-yawn when Mira actually registered to her eye, at which point she jumped slightly before offering a hurried "Uh, hi."

L, Lyra, Alexandria, Mira

Alexandria strides into the barracks, a bit behind Lyra and L for what should be obvious reasons.  She waves towards Mira.  "Hello!  I do not thing we have been introduced as of yet.  You must be relatively new to the team.  I am Alexandria.  It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

L, Lyra, Alexandria, Mira

The contractor waved at Mira, gesturing over to L and Alexandria. "Mira, meet L and Alexandria. L and Alexandria, meet Mira. She's not exactly the friendliest, but she knows how to use her sword well." She's probably been more helpful than me so far, Lyra thought to herself. She'd need to apologize to her, Lyra decided, for her behavior and confrontation earlier. Criticizing Mira for the kind of behavior the contractor herself engaged in was unfair, especially when Lyra had been the one brought down and not Mira.

Mira, L, Alexandria, Lyra

In the midst of sitting next to the forge and sharpening her weapon, Mira glanced up at the new voices that spoke up; what appeared to be a silver haired, dog-eared girl with a sword impaled in her chest, followed by a particularly giant android, one that almost looked human at first glance. And, of course, Lyra as well, as was natural for them. Needless to say, Mira's split second glance quickly vanished as she went back to her maintenance, but her voice still came out from underneath the mass of black armor, lacking in the traditional voice change that she preferred using, "I suppose the silver haired girl's a newcomer as well?"

Mira, L, Alexandria, Lyra

L waved a small hello, hand falling limply when Mira looked down. She opened her mouth to introduce herself, belatedly realized that had already happened, then closed it. Really making a good impression here. "Yeah, I uh, just got here. Hopefully I'll be helpful." L fumbled about in her head for a moment, looking for something else to say. "I could, uh, spar with you sometime? Not with this, but there's probably an arming sword or something around here, right?" Her ears and tail betrayed her nerves; something she'd be annoyed about were she aware of it.

Nothing quite as flashy heralded the arrival of the newest addition to the room. There was no hole torn into empty space, and the only sound that could be heard came from the wind that was gently displaced by their arrival, but they had arrived nonetheless. The distinctly humanoid figure takes a measured step forwards with one golden boot, as equally golden hands smooths out the creases in the black trenchcoat that hung over most of their body.

Their head was covered in a strange steel and silvery gray helmet of sorts that seemed to have been modeled somewhat after a shark, based on the fin like protrusions on the top and sides, and the shark's teeth detailed on the lower part of it. Strangely enough, the entire helmet seems to lack any form of eyeholes. Although a more modern individual would recognize the various cameras decorating it, and the strangely curved armor implying the presence of two overly sized lenses underneath. A belt is wrapped around their waist, the shark maw shaped buckle serving as a slight distraction from how... off the rest of their body seemed, as hints of tightly coiled strands of oddly light gray muscle could be glimpsed underneath the plates of dark colored armor seemingly taking the place of proper skin.

Despite all this, the new arrival seemed more concerned about the presence of others in the room than their current state. Their helmet scanning the others standing in front of them, before their gaze turns to the most obviously armed individual in the room, a seemingly normal human armed with an antiquated machinegun. A brief moment passed as they waited for something that should arrived with them to show up, before the new arrival lets out a muffled, but distinctly human sounding cough, and said, "Control, I appear to be inside of what appears to be a medieval castle's barracks. The walls and floor seems to be made of," the distinctly feminine sounding being leans down to run their finger against the floor, leaving little cracks behind where they touch, "Stone, regular ass stone."

The figure quickly snaps back up to their feet, and turns around to examine the others a little more closely, "Control, the probes haven't arrived yet, and there appears to be humanoid life forms in the room with me. Some of them look like the monomen before we uplifted them, but enough of them look like us to worry me. We might need to glass this one too."

Navin, Uzti, Mar, and Hibiki
The one with the machine gun watches the new arrival with wonder for a few moments, before their words rouse them from their inaction. He lets the machine gun fall to his side and he shakes his head at her attempts to contact whatever organization she was with apparently. That brings about the stray thought that he should see if he can contact his own but the threat of a possible glassing of the planet is enough to launch him into an explanation. "Wait! Er, let's... not do anything rash even if you can contact whoever it is your talking to! Uh, apparently you, well, we have been chosen by some higher power to combat universe destroying beings called trespassers. So uh, maybe, don't glass whatever planet we're on and make it that much more likely all our homes are destroyed? Please?" Kraken holds his hands up placatingly towards the spacesuit(?) clad woman(?) as he speaks, clearly not wanting to risk anything.

The masked woman stops in place for a moment as she heard one of the natives speak, as it suddenly dawned on them that they understood everything she said well enough to reply in her own language. She started to speak once more, sounding a little more frantic as they started to walk away from the strange humanoid figures, "Oh crap, did you get that too? One of the fucking natives just talked back to me, and I understood exactly what they said. What the hell control? I thought the sods displayed no sign of mental contamination. They're even talking about the alien gods as well now, just in a really desperate and dumb sounding way."

"... Please ignore the fact that the native life forms are most likely working off of what I know, and think when reviewing these logs control," she eventually added, after realizing the implications of her last statement.
