Other very handy revisions would be the Mortar, the Balloons, or the Autocannon.

Quote from: Observatieballon
This is a tethered observation balloon, equipped with telegraph and telephone, constructed of silk or doped linen and carrying aloft a crew of 4 under its hydrogen gasbag. This unit is designed for stationary or low-speed operation, and is also intended for use on land as an advanced observation platform.
The balloon is ovoid in shape and has a fabric tubular “rudder” hooking around it, using natural breezes to inflate the rudder and thus keep the balloon pointed into the wind. Envelope shape is maintained by internal baloonetts and is designed to reduce drag and provide some lift. As artillery observation is so incredibly important for land forces, this is a joint project with the army.
Development also includes work on support equipment, such as hydrogen generators.

Quote from: Revolutie Mortier
The 'Revolutie Mortier' is a new class of light artillery piece. Designed to be light, cheap, and easy to use or conceal, this mortar is designed to be separated into three pieces, the tube, the baseplate, and the stand. Ammunition is multipart as well, with the 80mm-diameter finned bombs having one to five doughnuts of propellant added prior to being dropped down the barrel and thus fired by the fixed firing pin. Not really designed for use on ships, with a maximum designed range of 1km, this weapon is intended for our boats, soldiers and marines, to better hold our lands(and take the lands of the foes of Syndicalism).
Bombs for this mortar come in several types, including HE, smoke, and parachute flare.

Quote from: Stoommachinekanon
The Stoommachine is grand against small targets, but makes one wonder, what would it be like if it fired shells that one might see on artillery pieces? The Stoommachinekanon is just that, a Stoommachine scaled up to a large size and firing 40x125mm shells, in a similar mounting to that used by our 2” guns. Intended use is to destroy torpedo boats, small buildings, or portions of a landscape with their high-explosive shells. Of course, if one wants to target something with a bit of armor, APHE and solid shot are available, but who wants those?

Quote from: Bijzonder Stoommachine
Inspired by the unlocking action of our Stoommachine, one of the artificers at the armorers union had an idea: What if two of these actions were attached in such a way that the firing of one barrel’s recoil caused the action of the second barrel’s action to operate? This should increase the rate of fire substantially, aswell as simplify the mechanics of the weapon. Going a step further, they proposed that instead of using the recoil energy of the weapon, instead some of the gasses produced by the propellant could be used, meaning the barrels could remain fixed in their water jackets, reducing things like leaks and the complexity involved in preventing them.
Thus, the Bijzonder Stoommachine was conceived, a water-cooled gas-operated twin-barrel rifle-caliber machine gun with a greatly increased rate of fire over the Stoommachine, and one totally unsuitable for infantry use except, perhaps, on a carriage.

Personally, I prefer the balloon, as our new capital ships are being designed to use an upgraded form of them while underway

I’m not convinced we strictly *need* this, but it’s definitely a good improvement to have if we’re going to be yoloing off doing things while our marines need to hold an area.

Work on an observation Balloon is in theory simple. All you need is a balloon that can be filled with hydrogen and attach it to a basket with a telegraph. In practice it is a lot more complex than that, and our along with the armies engineers understand that. There is much more to the Balloons internal design that is needed to make something that actually has stability even in strong winds, and to maintain that it needs to have proper aerodynamics along with a few clever tricks to keep it stable rather than constantly spinning about. The most noticeable and important is the fabric rudder that causes the wind to force it to face in the winds direction. Still, the balloon alone isn't the only thing that needs to be worked on by proper hydrogen generators and reliable telegraphs and telephones, both of which have had a decent amount of touch up to ensure reliable work. The army has once again provided reliable assistance to our projects and we have both mutually benefited, and luckily the balloons are simple enough to make that most of the islands with major ports can create a few of them, even if blockaded, especially the larger ones.

It is now the Production&Strategy phase of Spring, 1895. You have 18 PP remaining should you pay for all maintenance and construction costs.

Summer, 1896, Design Phase.

The major push in the center is an unfortunate thing, but ideally with time and effort we can change that. Especially if we get our ships out there fast and effectively. Really, once we have a area contested at least we should be able to make advances and strike hard. All we need is for the fruits of the workers labor to reach the frontlines. Thankfully, a good few of our capital ships are finished repairing and a few ships are finished and only need a name before being christened and commissioned by the navy. Still, ideally we can whittle their numbers down more before we have to deal with any of their ships that were forced in dry dock rather than under the waves, along with anything new they throw at us.

Navy Intel has (2) once again struggled to find anything of value other than a noticeable, if small increase to the enemy Army's budget.

The workers shift to free the proletariat of the north has allowed 4 more PP to the budget thanks to their efforts.
