Work on the creation of a 8, 10, and oddly an 11 and a half inch gun is underway, though the workers set upon the project expect it to take some time and to cost a fair bit. Despite this, they believe they have done almost a quarter of the work necessary to get the guns up and running for our ships. And despite the costs, provided a decent amount of funding is sent to the workers experimenting on the various gun designs, the guns should be capable

Despite the costs of the project the results from early testing appear to be well worth it. The guns are shockingly cheap for their size (something that honestly is a surprise for anything out of the Veenlandish navy that's good at this point), accurate, long range, reliable, and hard hitting. Naturally, the guns are likely to be the envy of all other navies in the world once on a battleship, provided the rest of the world doesn't catch up in a year or two... Still, they are solid guns, with the 11.5 inch gun capable of a range of 25K yards, though it's effective range is about half that. Other than this, it should also be noted that the loading time on the guns is decent too, arguably slightly faster than normal, though this is most noticeable on the 8 inch guns, which can be loaded a whole two and a half seconds faster than our old 8 inchers. Though on the larger guns this time is a bit slower. Regardless, to top it all off, the guns are capable of going without maintenance or replacement for quite some time, provided they aren't subject to a high explosive or armor pricing ordinance hitting it directly...Regardless, it is clear the great thinkers of Veenland have greatly aided the workers in their struggle, and the Navy thanks them. Let's just hope they finish faster than expected...

 The other three proposed revisions that we can actually do at this point in time, and aren't planned revisions for projects we haven't even started yet

Work on creating better versions of our current quickfire guns, mainly through simplification of the manufacture process alongside the addition of work upon various useful rounds has gone quite well. The rounds include a AP shell with a improved cap, smoke rounds, parachute flares, HE, and a shrapnel shell as most call it. The latter is fairly obviously not really used much for our main armament. Though there is always the chance we'll get the perfect time to use them against enemy land forces that aren't entrenched and in the open. A few gunners have suggested shooting it at the decks of enemy ships and calling them 'splinter shells' instead though. We aren't sure if they are joking or not though...

With a bit more familiarity, and update to the equipment, partially as a result of the fact that the workers demanded that the highly explosive compound they were working with was actually safe to work with and not likely to have the rare industrial accident, along with the obvious cost of repairing things from said accidents meant that the union wasn't exactly slow to enact things to better produce the material. Mainly, a bit of the volatile nature of the substance has been cut back, and the thing is a bit easier to produce. Still not to the level our old powder was at, but that's made up for the fact of it's quality, and it's not that much less.

While we offered aid to the Army to get a machinegun, they actually accepted quite eagerly as they didn't really have one. When we were attempting to initially get the Maxim though, the Army decided to be stubborn. Despite this though, this stubbornness payed off, a they, with some of our help, were able to get their hands on a few documents and from there a few of our and the army's engineers worked away on creating a machinegun of our own, made by the working class! The results were fantastic! A heavy machinegun, water-cooled, and capable of about half a thousand rounds a minute, with proper rifle caliber bullets, and it's capable of being accurate at a long range too, well provided you aim it and don't just spray and pray. Most people call it the Stoommachine due to the noise it makes being vaguely similar to a locomotive alongside the fact it's water cooled and can produce steam when fired for long enough. Regardless, the British have the Maxim, and we do not. But the Maxim is poor, and we can go without.

If the Magana navy continues to focuse their attention in the area all groups will remain in harbor during the day and sail out and hour before dusk to attack the Magna battleships engaged in coastal bombardment from the east where they will be silhouetted by the setting sun once nightfall our ships can use flares to continue illuminating the enemy ships to continue the attack.

If there are no battle ships present, groups a and d will be tasked patrolling the blue corridor and protecting our transport ships sending supplies to the army. Group C will be tasked with providing coastal bombardment to support the army with group B screening for the CDS.
