Rules:

Pick a species before the game begins. A player may optionally opt for a random unique species: i.e. you will be given a random species that no other player has selected or been given.

I think it will be more useful to get a list of people who will go along with it and protect each other, to get a list together. I'm up for joining the protection circle, but I'd like it to take second stage and not be the focus of D1.

It needs to be everyone playing. It can't be a secondary circle.

A player can't do anything else if they're handing out a shield.

Two scum players in a row make your plan faulty. The second one can do the killing, OR they can make people redirect using the Duelist's Challenge and make other people look scummy. It's not a foolproof plan.

It's not foolproof but it's completely arbitrary with the OP player list so mafia would have to get lucky. I'm not accepting changes unless it's a flawclaim.

Okay, put Luckyowl as Townlean for me, I literally don't think I've ever seen him read the OP ever.

Nirur Torir - Not feeling right about them. Don't really like their reasoning for why the plan is flawed.

I brought up some small problems with it, and in that same post said they probably didn't matter, here

Problems:
If scum are set to give scum a shield, they get a non-shield action.
  If one of them is already merchant, they can give a sword instead of a shield, giving them a kill N2.
Scum can dip Fool to get a redirect, and know exactly who that will leave vulnerable that same night. Alternatively, it can be used to frame.

I don't think these are enough to counter it.

My post before that was made and posted without reading about adding shields to it, which means it wasn't properly about The Plan.

We know there will be defectors, why not let people defect in public, take them out of it, and let everyone else be shielded?

I'll try not to, although in this large of a game it's likely that My activity level might be found a bit lacking. As for your second question, probably not, now that you've pointed that out.

Juicebox: I think it would be fun to have you as a D1 lynch target, to keep you from being inactive, one way or another. How does that make you feel?

Kinda annoyed tbh. Pressuring me so that I won't lurk is one thing, but putting me up as a lynch candidate before I've even had a chance to post, because I was lurking in another game? That seems like a disproportionate reaction to me.

As for question two, there's not much, but at least we know how many scum there are and there are no false flips, so we can use that to temper our judgement.

Egan_BW this vote doesn't sit right with me. It seems to me you placed this vote solely to hop on the Toony bandwagon and not to pressure them in any way.
