Proposal: Rusty Throwing Knives

Result: (5+3)+1=9, Above Average
Everyone knows you can make any metal object into a bladed weapon with sufficient application of force. After hammering some spikes flat and leaving them outside for a few weeks we have successfully created Rusty Throwing Knives. These throwing knives aren't really aerodynamic, but they fling real good, and stick even better. The judicious application of rust also causes
Lockjaw in victims, locking their jaw, obviously, and briefly preventing communication past angry painful grunting.
Rusty Throwing Knives are
Rare Loot Item since we can just beat spikes into shape and neglect them for a bit whenever we need to sneak more into dungeon chests.
Proposal: Iron Torch
Difficulty: Very Easy
Result: (5+4)+2=11, Masterwork
It was always weird that the torches were made of wood. I mean, how did they hold the batteries? And what about the heat from the bulb? By swapping the wood casing to iron, we've made ourselves a light-casting device that is also heavy enough in the hand to make one feel
extremely confident in their ability to beat asses. And that confidence is well-placed! Iron Torches can be used to illuminate and eliminate alongside one-handed weapons or weapon-like objects or weapon-like object-like entities with ease!
The Iron Torch completely replaces the old things. Turns out someone thought they were the classical torch and set them all on fire.
IT IS NOW THE PLANNING PHASE!You have to decide who to throw into the maw of the dungeon! Remember, they enter only with their starter weapon, natural skills, and lack of the concept of self-preservation.
Heroes:
NPC Who Thinks He's A Protagonist: Sometimes heroes are born under a certain star. Other times people barely manage to stumble their way out of the womb in spite of themselves. NPCWTHAP is definitely one of those. Can't take many hits before succumbing to the dangers of a dungeon. Armed with FISTS OF "FURY". Has Beginner's Unluck Passive Ability (The first chest of a floor is always common). Not very good at anything. Except dying.
The Jester: A Court Jester-turned-adventurer. Dons very flamboyant garb and a silly hat with jingly bells. Isn't the most durable, but proves hard to hit thanks to an abundance of experience in the department of not receiving an ass-beating. Armed with Slapstick. Has Harlequin Legs, which ensures a success on the first agility- or athletics-based trap per floor.
Loot Tables:
Common:
FISTS OF "FURY": NPCWTHAP's starter weapon. The incoherent screaming tends to be more effective at keeping opponents away than the fists themselves.
Protective Vest: A piece of protective equipment. The dried blood has hardened enough to reduce incoming damage.
Slapstick: The Jester's starting weapon. A wooden rod with reach. Great for physical "humor".
Brass Frisbee: A sharp brass disc that stuns all creatures in a room briefly upon use. The loud clanging is annoying and makes this a single-use item.
Uncommon:
Iron Torch: A standard torch (the lightbulb kind, obviously) used to illuminate the darkness and bludgeon the everloving shit out of things.
Banana: A yellow food that provides a small bit of healing and, once eaten, leaves a reusable Peel that causes Knockdown and Stun.
Rare:
Spikes: Spikes used to modify any weapon. Spikes increase damage on every weapon. Don't worry about how this works.
Rusty Throwing Knives: Spikes hammered into pointy throwable shapes and left to rust. Rust causes LOCKJAW which prevents speaking.
