Tric was asking for a tunneler revision, so I will give it a quick pass.

Earthworker.exe - Class: Viri - tl;dr: Not garbage Tunneler + basic terrain manipulation

A second pass at the Tunneler.exe by Firmament codemonkeys, after numerous... complaints by our hackers. Sure it works, technically, but let's make it not a painful experience for all involved.
Revising of the entire code structure to put tunneling first and foremost, without the need for constant micromanaging or deviations from more important work. Both AI wise and Tunneling drill power wise.
Along with the code to reinforce and better route power to the drill, a secondary compartment is added to "store" a portion of the terrain.dat files that are dislodged while mining. The Earthworker can "drop" these chunks of data to make rudimentary terrain features. Allowing for construction of not just tunnels, but trenches, Glacis, and defensive mounds.

Turn 5 : Design Phase
Quote
Wako.mon - Class: Viri - tl;dr: Cyborg Pirate Samurai Ronin Cyclops Warriors

The Cyclopes of the Archival Sediment are a strange lot. We have little information on the culture of the deeper tribes, though it is evident that they are both skilled warriors and craftsmen, capable of creating high-quality digiquipment for themselves from the forgotten relics strewn throughout their homes. For now, the fight with them remains a stalemate. However, with our control of the moderate-depth tunnels, the Outcast Cyclopes are under our dominion. Sort of. We can't control them directly, but they've learned to leave us alone, which is what matters. However, it seems a shame to leave such strength unused. Attempts were made to capture some for conversion into subservient .mons, but capturing live specimens turned out to be almost impossible. So we tried diplomacy.
As it turns out, the cyclopes are intelligent enough to understand basic negotiations, and when the prospect of payment (in the form of fresh code harvested from across the web) was raised, they became a lot more cooperative. While these exiles are not the greatest of the cyclopean warriors, and their equipment somewhat patchwork, they are still great big giants capable of shooting lasers from their eyes, and surprisingly intelligent at that.

With Firmament resources, these ronin have been recast as pirates, identifying them as Firmament forces. Unfortunately their cyclopean nature prevents us from giving them eyepatches, but adding skull-and-crossbones motifs to their armour and giving them tricorn hats is easily done. They wield distinctive datana blades (capable of slicing .steel files) made from archival data that has been compressed and resaved hundreds of times. Their armour consists of many rectangular scales sown together, made from scraps of dense archival data- which while not the strongest armour in the world, is quite capable of absorbing large numbers of basic pulse-pistol shots. They also have freaking laser beams they can fire from their eyes.

Massive, but surprisingly good at moving and fighting in (to them) narrow confines (thanks to their cave experience), the renamed Wako.mon are a fearsome presence on the battlefield. Their eye lasers are effective at sweeping through massed infantry, or taking out fliers, while their datana are perfect for taking down larger or more heavily armoured foes. Their combat logic is effective and flexible, and they can be given reasonably sophisticated orders... the main downside is that they might not actually follow said orders. Wako are free spirits, and can refuse to follow orders for any number of reasons- from thinking the order is suicidal to just not feeling like it. A Hacker may need to take time to negotiate in such situations, offering bonus pay in exchange for compliance, or giving alternative orders more to the Wako's liking.
[/quote]
4 + 1 - 1 = 4 : Below average (Hard)

The cyclopean Agathan warriors of the deep tunnels are normally unreceptive to outsiders, but everymon has their price. Unfortunately, the price of the Wako Warriors is an expensive one, demanding access to good food, luxuries, and the right to tell stupid orders to buzz off, as well as a lack of conquest of the deepest tunnels which they hold as holy. Of course, they offer no small ability to decimate the Firmament's foes in return. While the Wako Warriors lack the most advanced gear of the deep tribes, they still come with surprisingly high quality armor of bronze scales, heavy datana blades forged from the compressed data of the Sediment, a skill for close combat in confined and tight quarters that warriors of such size are not generally known for...

...and of course they have laser eye beams. While draining on the Wako to use, even unable as they are to replicate some of the feats the deep tribes have shown with their eyebeams, and of fairly limited range all in all the the beams are still a potent trump card. Usable in either concentrated blasts against single heavy oponents or in wider sweeps against swarming enemies like the Wyrm.exe, the eye lasers will be a lethal surprise for Stagehand forces.

Despite these skills and proven ability at battle, the relatively high cost and effort of deploying them limits the numbers that hackers are willing to hire, rendering them Complex.

It is Turn 5, in the Revision Phase. During this phase you must vote on what revision to do to your current assets.

Earthmover.exe
A second pass at the Tunneler.exe by Firmament codemonkeys, after numerous... complaints by our hackers. Sure it works, technically, but let's make it not a painful experience for all involved.
Revising of the entire code structure to put tunneling first and foremost, without the need for constant micromanaging or deviations from more important work. Both AI wise and Tunneling drill power wise.
Along with the code to reinforce and better route power to the drill, a 7-zip program is added to "compress" terrain.dat files that are dislodged while mining, which are then used to reinforce the tunnel wall as the Earthmover.exe passes by, much like a real-world tunnel is made. This allows it to continue tunneling without needing to take a break and ensure they won't collapse easily. Our hackers only need to use the semi-random password(determined by a simplistic mathematical algorithm before deployment, with the list of codes being held by the hacker) holding the compression file together to unzip the terrain.dat when we are done, often the job of Firstamtes pointing a wand containing the unzipping program(though not the code for security reasons, hackers can activate them and FirstMates can wipe them with a simple switch setup).

Future Design idea, Wolrdshaper.exe

Taking the form of a rolling sphere propelled by compressed air, Worldshaper.exe is specialized in the collection of data from the cyberworld. It takes the files and compresses them for storage and later use. It then uses it's library under the direction of other units and basic prediction software to generate a compressed light.dat hologram for previewing it's structure generation, with most structures coming in a preformed template that can be altered depending on the location. Bridges are the most common that need to be altered, as forts only need the ground flattened and cleared, which it can do just fine on it's own. Common designs include trenches, spikefields, covered spike pits, walls(which also fall under constant alteration to be in line with the land, though in that case it's just changing height.) and the aforementioned forts. Less common are compressed icefields and muddy flats to hamper ground charges, as that requires access to water.dat or the respective files. The others can be made out of wood, stone, or metal depending on data available, including compressed forms that require more resources and time to set up. It's an all-round complex program more suited for setup than direct combat. Though it can just as easily deconstruct data it makes.

... There is one exception though, Fire.dat can be compressed into a lava.dat file when combined with most earthen data. Fire.dat is not naturally generated though, and quite rare, so most hackers would need to make an effort to gather it from heat.dat, though it's well worth the effort for the coolness factor. And the fact it's something that literally melts data.

If we're just fixing something up and not giving it a whole bunch of new features, just leave the name the same.

Tunneler V2.exe - Class: Viri - tl;dr: Not garbage Tunneler

A second pass at the Tunneler.exe by Firmament codemonkeys, after numerous... complaints by our hackers. Sure it works, technically, but let's make it not a painful experience for all involved.
The entire code structure of the tunneler is revised and refined to put tunneling first and foremost, without the need for constant micromanaging or deviations from more important work. The drillhead and engine's power is increased to dig through thicker bedrock or for longer periods of time, wheel traction to allow for steeper grades, and numerous plotting and routing rehauls to make tunnel directing by hackers far easier.
And to top it off, a basic code compressing ability is added to allow it to compress sides of the tunnel rather than mine them, allowing tunnelers to reinforce their tunnels with support beams and arches should the hacker choose to. Making them harder to fall apart and more physically durable.

The buggy Tunneler has done good work, fixing it up could revolutionise combat (in some zones).

ADI ideas.

Seadra.mon/X/dv-waru/
Originally far stronger, Seadra.mon was found being buried in the sediment. After capture and transport, our team successfully revived it, though the control program we installed broke down, and it attacked wildly in it's weakened state. Vivi intercepted and it eventually calmed down in containment before it initiated dialogue.

It turns out that it was part of the Dark Sea faction of the Sea of Recycling, but the Stagehand's push led to infighting and it's eventual defeat. It had to catabolize it's evolved code and revert to a previous state in order to survive, and fled into the Sediment where it encountered the very forces we have been having trouble with. Needless to say, it's very angry at being ousted from it's position of power. And with some incentives including the right code to recover, it's fully willing to fight for the right to power as a Commander in the Sea of Recycling. Along with other zones to get there.

Code: [Select]
/// Initialize: Seadra.mon/X/dv-waru
/// Summary
/Level: Complex
/Element: Ice, Water
/Attribute: Data
/Type: Aquatic
/Family: Deep Savers
/Mod: Devolution, X-antibody

SeadramonX makes use of absolute-zero breath from it's mouth to freeze the water it fires into an Ice Arrow, and can do so continuously to form Ice Spears it fires forward. It can also simply wash foes away with it's Water Breath, clogging data opening and drowning foes. It's sense of smell is able to scent data from a huge distance and determine it's strength, and it's instincts are top notch. It's battle for survival has left a .mon well suited to hunt down prey and stay away from stronger foes. However it is no beast, having maintained some of it's sly mind for cunning plots, and the electrical generation of it's evolved form, primarily manifesting in it's Maelstrom attack, sweeping water and lightning into a tornado to sweep up foes with great power. It's access to it's virus ancestry however has been lost, and without a horn to control the lightning, the only other thing it can do is coat itself in lightning. Or channel it into it's water breath as Surge Breath, electrifying those caught by it. It should be noted it's energy is not infinite, and will require rest breaks.

As a .mon, it primarily makes use of others to do it's fighting, only striking at opportune times and always attempting to have the files stacked in it's favor. An ambush specialist and siege weapon type of combat, sweeping away the weak. Though this also manifests in the fact it's after power, and won't enter a battle it's going to lose, preferring to strike elsewhere. We can't really rely on it to fight other direct ADI like Vivi, an instinct only strengthened by the fact she shrugged off what damage it could do when it rampaged.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

One seadramon. Note the existence of MegaseadramonX which shares Maelstrom and lightning gen, and Gigaseadrmon which is a literal sea carrier with missiles. (Most Seadramon aren't really smart, more animals. Waruseadramon is a good devolution base.)

Also have a mantis warrior.
We also have a healer/debuffer. And a more likely first form. Both insects of course.

Morpho.mon
A gentle creature who's data was found within sediment. Analysis dates it to the Viral Jungle of the ancient past, somehow. Gentle, carefree, and kind, it helps it's allies by fluttering it's wings with a 'rinrin' sound, spreading medicinal scales to heal allies. Rinrin Therapy can also be used defensively to paralyze foes caught in the fluttering scales. The creature itself has no means of attack though, which is likely why it died out originally. While fairly simple and light enough to float around by flapping it's wings, it's still a complicated .mon file to compile. It's antennae are used to communicate with others via touch, and it somehow gathers allied thoughts that way, though it has no output for them, they just compile in their runtime processes for some reason, though it at least makes them easy to talk to. They really don't like evil or mean things though.

Hudie.mon
A cautious being that is slow to trust, but cheerful and innocent once it opens up. This creature evolved from Morpho.mon that have accumulated enough thoughts from allies. It's ability is to store a copy of all digital data in an area nearby for safekeeping, making them ideal communicators on the battlefield when there are multiple about(and can include Morpho.mon as gatherers). Their scales can spread these thoughts and heal the wounded with copies of their own data, or corrupt enemies with poisonous or paralytic scales, ignoring defenses against it via their own runtime data being used as the carrier. By flapping it's wings, it sends a gust of these scales, giving it much more range than Morpho.mon, and it works well with others thanks to knowing their thoughts. As a humanoid with it's butterfly wings, it also uses it's legs to fight. Not very effective, but's it's Flying Kick still has a lot of force behind it. It's voice is extremely melodic, and while not having any cybernetic effect can be considered a treasure on it's own. It's ability to store vast amounts of runtime data is unparalleled in all of cyberspace. Infinity Dream can even restore damaged structures in the cyberworld given time and a personal touch of their hands to the structure, though this requires they have data of it undamaged. Useful for repairing damage from conflicts after the fact, not so much in the heat of battle. Due to it's evolution requirements, it's complex, requiring quite a bit of time and personal attention from humans to evolve. There is generally a limit to the number of Hudie.mon created, likely due to Morpho.mon only evolving a certain number and no more.

[Morphomon. Healing and paralysis scales, can gather thoughts from others and store them. As the scales flutter.]
[Hudiemon, upgrade carrier of the scales to a unit's own data. Better healing and negative effects. Legs and wings gives it some method of defense beyond the scales, and it can spread them farther. Specializes in data copying and storage over a wide area. Natural evolution of Morphomon.]

Though these would definetely be better Stagehand designs given how cute and melodious they are. Or DJ could fall in love with them.

Turn 5 : Revision Phase
Quote
Tunneler V2.exe - Class: Viri - tl;dr: Not garbage Tunneler

A second pass at the Tunneler.exe by Firmament codemonkeys, after numerous... complaints by our hackers. Sure it works, technically, but let's make it not a painful experience for all involved.
The entire code structure of the tunneler is revised and refined to put tunneling first and foremost, without the need for constant micromanaging or deviations from more important work. 3 + 1 + 1 = 5 : Average (Easy)

In the end, this is not a project that needs innovative genius. It is simply a project that needs patience and sustained effort to find each and every flaw in the Tunneler's coding and stamp them out. And as the Firmament can provide persistence and patience this project, while time consuming, is not something the revisionary coding team finds in any way difficult. At the end, they present the refined Tunneler program to the rest of the Firmament and it is effectively what was asked for. A Tunneler that works without substantial errors or need of semi-constant hand-holding.

While this does not allow for any true new capacities, the increased ease of use allows the Tunneler.exe MKII to be deployed more frequently, causing it to be redesignated as a Complicated program, instead of a Complex one. However it can probably be expected that, due to the specialization of the program in question, it will still be deployed at the Complex level unless a hacker has reason to believe there will be a need for large scale tunneling.

It is now the Deployment Phase of Turn 5. During this phase you must decide which of your hackers will be leading your attacks (you currently have two attacks), and decide what they will use their memory space to bring with them in terms of chips and champions (You currently have 8 memory).

Sounds like a plan, still unsure on the music choice, though. Would rather tie the music to the situation and mood of the battle, rather than the person specifically in it.
Gonna give DJ a heal and an attack buff, just because he has elites to worry about still, in the form of the Wako.

I'll note the reason he doesn't have Recov and Atk plus chips is a combination of no Adi to support, and the DJ not being the best at using them. Meanwhile the Dogcatcher has a Recov chip since she does know how to use chips very well. Having access to greater forces in surprising locations is why I gave him 4 of each and ignored the ATK and Recov chip. Such affects one target.
