Just finished reading everything you've posted so far, took me a few pages to get used to the panel layout but once I did I was spellbound! Icar is one of my favourite characters in any DF community story lmao.

Is the world you used for the story a modded one? The mention of sphinxes and winged intelligent dragons had me wondering.

Yeah, i added a lot of new creatures and changed some existing ones. (adding wings and the [FLIER] tag to dragons, adding small horns to goblins, making most predators bigger, and more).
Don't want to spoil too much though.

i'm getting used to being a father, and i'm slowly preparing my return to this project!

I do have a question to you guys though; would you be angry if i did this from scratch and treat the first two chapters as sort of a pilot?
At work i keep daydreaming about this and got tons of new (and better) ideas, + i spend so much time in legendsviewer and am embarassed to admit i got quite a lot of things wrong.

I also have been thinking about switching over to digital drawing (my GF got me ClipStudio a year ago, and it seems to be great for making webcomics/manga), although i'd have to experiment with that.

My first attempt at using the 'real G-pen' brush in Clip Studio Paint.
Put a lot of thought into redesigning the world and cultures of this story. I changed Geño's hair for example since nobody in his culture would even think of a hairstyle like the one i gave him previously.
I also didn't like how i went for a somewhat generic medieval feeling for the winterlings. I want to change it to a more ancient setting (akin to stories like the odysee, the epic of gilgamesh, etc)
A time where bronze is paramount, iron is a rarity, and the manufacturing of steel is a secret well kept by dwarven civs.

I'm also changing over to digital drawing (using Clip Studio Paint) instead of doing it traditionally because;
-i won't have to buy paper
-i won't have to buy ink
-i won't have to buy screen tones (super expensive)
-better visibillity
-will be able to do it faster

What do you guys think?
Looks much nicer and sharper, doesn't it?
