In Adventure Mode since in Fortress Mode pretty much every megabeast attack feels like it.

There's been a few good ones for me, but probably the dragon at the edge of the world in a haunted tundra takes the cake. It managed to tear off my adventurer's foot before I killed it - so while I put an end to it, it also, in a way, put an end to me. But that's okay: a final boss battle ought to be a costly fight.

I heard of a bronze colossus in some shrine very early in a run, so my entire adventurer's life was building up to eventually conquering the beast. I eventually had legendary skills and a full army and rushed in to fight it, duel wielding swords in case one of my arms was disabled. We managed to chip at it more and more, but it was slaughtering us. My shortswords weren't breaking off the limb as I had expected, and my legs and some ribs were broken.

Half of my crew were soon dead. The colossus knocked me unconscious and I was sure I would die, but just a turn later, one of my spearmen got a lucky shot on its soul gem and killed it.

Basically The Last Giant from Dark Souls 2 but you bringed the whole firelink shrine.
