Finding which bedroom is a particular dwarf's
« on: December 24, 2020, 09:46:41 am »

I'm looking for tips on this.  With 175 dwarfs it's not fun finding one... tried to organize them, but with deaths and migrants it gets mixed up over the years.  Using q and searching over the beds is pretty tedious.

I know about the DFHack z-x-b, but that's a different thing.

The 'R'ooms menu has a search function and you can zoom from there.

There is something to be said about, if the stakes are as high, maybe reconsider your certitudes. One has to be aggressively allistic to feel entitled to be able to trust. But it won't happen to me, my bit doesn't count etc etc... Just saying, after my recent experiences I couldn't trust the public if I wanted to. People got their risk assessment neurons rotten and replaced with game theory. Folks walk around like fat turkeys taunting the world to slaughter them.

Thanks!  Yes, I've used that in the past and forgot about it... just search the dwarf's name!  All better now.
I had just found myself wishing that renaming a bed to "bed,Urist McSleeper" would show in the "R" menu.
