Unless you're posting certain forms of code (strangely outwith a nullifying [code] tag) or some really odd punctuating, you're fairly unlikely to stray too far towards activating any of the others unintentionally. But, if you are threatening to/discover you are when you Preview, click on "Attachments and other options" and tick "Don't use smileys." to universally stop any auto-conversion of smiley-prompting text into the embedded smiley it would prompt for.

If you absolutely do want smileys elsewhere in the post (and don't want to [img]-tag them in manually) there are other ways to selectively disable this and other BBCode behaviours...

Towering Greenplate
Through the selective pressures to catch more light, individuals that could grow higher were selected for. For this, this plant have evolved a vascular distribution system akin to Terran plants. The liquids inside are transported through internal pressure the veins have. This pressure have supported the further widening of the green panel they have on the top, making them able to catch more of the light.

Status: LC

Description: A green plant shaped like a flat, rough circle supported by a long stem. Its pan is a meter in diameter, and it is stem is 3 meters long. A ring of long and thin roots at the bottom of its stem dig into the soil and harvest it for water and minerals. It reproduces by growing miniature adults inside capsules just under its outer layer, which burst when the young is developed. The walls of its cells are very durable and sturdy. It has dozens of tiny oil-filled pimples inside its stem, which used to be on its outer surface and for buoyancy on water, but now do not serve much of a purpose beyond being minor storage units. A system of veins course through its every tissue, and transport water and other essentials. It lives like your regular tree, forming vast, dense growths.

Habitat: The wet, close-to-coast regions of The Barren Plains.

Narwhal Blish
The error that was its horn has been repaired and has been added on. It made the blish that had it attractive, so the maladaptation wasn't removed. Instead it was tamed into a useful structure, an antenna. This growth is now much shorter, and it is much thinner and elastic. Inside of it is a chord of nerves adapted to sense the waterflow around. The inside of the creature, the notochord now provides support.

And as an another independant adaptation, the back of the blish have elongated into a fleshy thing, which is supported by the elongated aft end of the notochord. This tail is about a quarter the length of the main body, and slowly moves to grant propulsion. It is sluggish and ultimately redundant as the animal lacks the necessary musculature required. It is covered in flagellum, which still randomly beat, but are mostly vestigial.

Status: NT

Description: An aquatic animal that is 10 centimeters long. It moves along the sea floor and above with its slow-beating, flagella-covered tail and digests any organic debris it can find through its mouth that leads to its complex,, three sectioned digestive system, which leads to an anus. It has 10 black dots on its very front, 4 of them larger then the other 6. The smaller six form a hexagon that surrounds a square that is formed from the bigger 4, which surrounds a single jawless mouth. It uses these dots to smell the water around and act according to them, approaching or avoiding alike. These dots and everything this animal has as parts are connected to and commanded by a chord of nerves that runs from front to back of the animal that branches out to the rest of the body. It is close to a rod of cartilage that supports its body, and has an extension on its front that grants the animal a sense of airflow. A mane of thin and short crimson strands surround the head region, and functions as gills. It reproduces by external fertilisation of eggs performed by two distinct genders. The fertilised eggs hatch into tiny juneviles, which reach full size and sexual maturity not too long after.

Habitat: The sea, near the sea floor as its food is there.

Cambrian Lagus
And the award of ''The most changed organism in a single round'' goes to... Cambrian Lagus!

First of all, Lagus now has muscles that course through its entire body, which combined with the gills, grants it an unparalelled elasticity among animals. These muscles have also allowed it to chew its green food and tear it apart into bits to be more easily digested.

The second adaptation is a full digestive system derived from the old, one way one. The stomach have regressed further into the body, forming an throat, and a new, curved and coiling canal have also formed on its back, which is an intestine that allows it to draw in nutrients much more efficently. It ends with an anus that excretes the waste.

The third adaptation is the emergence of sight. It is primitive and doesn't really allows vision greater than slight shapes, but it helps the Lagus to know where it is depth wise, and also compliments its heat vision by giving things more of a shape instead of the glowy haze it saw earlier.

And as a last change, a central ganglion has formed inside its head, which is supposed to coordinate the Lagus better by giving it a degree of behaivorial plasticity, but it is too unspecialised and primitive to process the amount of input. Lagus is a slowthinker as a result.

Status: LC

Description: A round animal 10 centimeters in width and length. It slowly moves along the sea shore and chews algea. It has a long tail resembling a flagella, which it uses to move around. Covering the body, a specialised layer of tissue prevents any nutrient loss. And under and around that, there is a calcite framework that keeps it rigid and provides pathways for its mucscles to work. This is further augmented with a net of nerves just beneath the outer layer, which also controls its movement and grants it a bit of pressure reception that informs it of the depth. This net of nerves converges into a lump in the head, which is an ineffective ganglion. It has a defined front side with a head, which has two giant, organised patches of heat sensitive proteins, kind of like heat eyes, that allows it to detect the amount of ambient and directional heat, and a jawed mouth that leads to a full digestive tract. 6 pairs of fleshy protrusions covered with red hairs function as gills. Just above the eyes two long and flexible tendrils reside, and these end with fleshy orbs that produce heat, which equals to strong glow in their vision. These orbs also have cone and rod cells inside, which allows these orbs to function as primitive eyes capable of percieving shape. It reproduces by the internal fertilisation by the gamet-injecting tendrils of Eral, and the internal hatching of eggs by Alur, who then releases the offspring onto a suitable patch of algea.

Habitat: The dense and long algea growths on the shores of The Crater Sea.

Kashyyk: A new super tiny caste that carries genetic information between incubators: 3

Drone Hivecake
A new hivecake caste has appeared. These specialised carriers spend their brief existances inside the vast circulatory systems of hivecake collectives, with the goal of reaching to an Incubator. Incubators produce these critters, and they then randomly get transported inside the circulatory system until they reach to another Incubator, which then they fuse into it and give the genetic material they carried to it. Incubator then shuffles the new genome with its existing one, creating a genetically distinct settler as a result. This allows genetic diversity and plasticity that asexual reproduction can't grant.

As a side effect though, Incubators now require a drone to fuse into them everytime they make a Settler, so the process is much slower. But their sheer numbers easily overbear this.

Description: A small green plant shaped like a flat circle. It is 12 centimeters in diameter. A ring of long and thin, retractable white tendrils reside, and are used to form connections with others of its kind to transfer nutrients in some, and just as water harvesters on the others. Surrounding the edges of the pan is a coat of bonding proteins that allows it to stick to others of its kind. It lives permanently stuck to the sea surface through the dozens of tiny oil-filled pimples across its body. It can be found as mats numbering several tens of thousands plants, and never alone, as they die if they are separated. It features specialised subtypes. It has the ability to let others know if it is low on or has too much nutrients by using special chemical signals, which others will act accordingly by either giving or taking nutrients. This accomplished by a communal circulatory system that spans the entirety of a given hive, and it is powered by the beating of tens of thousands of internal water pumps. It reproduces by splitting in two when it gets too big to expand their colonies, and by incubating settlers, which are made by a process that makes them genetically distinct, when creating new colonies.

Trapjaw Blish
The primitive digestive tube of this clade of blish has been refined into a proper digestive tract they allows it to digest plant matter efficently. The tube is divided into three sections, a tube that directs the food into the stomach, the stomach that dissolves the soft plant matter, and the intestines, that allow an efficent absorbtion of nutrients. This has made it much more active and energy efficent. The digestive tract have also indirectly improved the swim bladder by getting out of its way. No hindrance on either side now.

But on the other hand there is one on a third side. Their mandibles evolved into actual jaws that can very slowly chew the plants they eat, but it soon spiraled out of control when the blish found the ones with biggest jaws attractive. Now this species have ginormous jaws that greatly hinder their swimming and pathfinding through the dense growths of the hiveroot collectives. And as they lack musculature, using these jaws is very difficult.

Well, this is not ideal, but it not a disaster either. We already got the biggest, baddest jaws we could possibly develop, now we just have to grow into them.

Muscle Growth: in time only the biggest, strongest, most muscular specimen were able to both attract their partners and survive the cost of their huge jaws. Bigger, stronger muscles allowed them to use their jaws efficiently, while also allowing them to power through the dense underwater undergrowth with much less effort.

As for the sex vote, i am going for something relatively safe that should provide us with great benefits.
Gaseous Pseudocaeloma: The gas bladder continued its expansion, slowly becoming much more than a simple bouyancy organ. It is now a complex system of chambers and sphincteres, that provides a rigid support for the body. This adaptation has changed the overall shape of the organism, who is now much more vertically compressed, as the chambers are not tubular, but they develop in height more than in width.
Of course these adaptation are intended to synergize with each other, allowing the creature to swim like an eel and finally letting go of flagella (that wil not remain useful for much longer considering how large we will become)

Gotototoe, i believe a good adaptations righ now would be gills to bring more oxygen to our muscles, but if youn don't want to risk it and support my vote it should be fine too. Or maybe you have other ideas?

Also, if our first adaptaton succeeds, i want our name to be the Swole Blish.

@Magmacube_tr, i understand that my species has little reason to go outside the hivecake, as it always surrounded by food, but technically shouldn't it also be able to hunt some primitive animals and chew other plants now? My species'  chewing ability is very low right now, but most our ancestors are even slower, with almost nothing in the way of senses and with no defense whatsoever, so my species should be able to hunt them should the need arise right?

Our waterrakers are responsible for finding all the nutrients for a hive. Thus these tentacles have become much longer, with fine hairs to entrap particles for absorption and smaller organisms to be slowly drained of sustenance.

For example, Amaranth Blob is still extant because its decendants adapted to eat algea instead of just debris, leaving it behind to fill the same niche. Also, the orginal blob isn't extant because its niche is filled by the superior Amaranth blob.

Only lineages there on the open sea are Hivecakes and your variety of blish.

Yes, i know, i was talking about our ancestors, like the amaranth blob and the giant blo. I did not know our lineage disappeared from the lake, i thought it just expanded its range in the sea. Did i get outcompeted in my previous enviroment  or something?

Vote:  Primitive Circulatory System.  Evolve a primitive circulatory system consisting of a single main artery with a primitive heart and a single primary vein.  These should be positioned above the digestive tract with the heart above the esophagus.  Smaller arteries and capillaries should branch out as necessary.

SS Vote:  More oxygen.  More pharyngeal slits (as many as we can manage) are added to the pharynx in front of the already present slits but behind the “head”.  The inside surfaces of these slits should be filled with dense networks of capillaries which act to provide optimum exchange of gasses thus allowing them to act as internal gills.  This should provide the extra oxygen we need to power the myomeres we’ll be adding later.



Edit:  Changed the main vote to one involving a circulatory system.  Extra gills aren’t going to do us a bit of good without one.  Also, moved what was the main vote down to the SS vote and made it clear that what we wanted was internal gills.

You never disappeared from the sea, you are still in it, just not in the shores like your lineages close relative is.

Your last common ancestor with the filterfeeding blish is the pooping blish. Your blishes are the decendants of those who have left the shallows for the growths of hivecakes. Pooping blish was also a filterfeeder, so it was replaced by the new and better ones afterwards.

I'm sorry, for some reason i thought that the lake and the sea were different things. Still, my question stands, why is my lineage only present in the open sa feeding on hivecakes but not near the shores? Did i get oucompeted by some other herbivore? Could not properly feed on seafloor algae? Also, why there are no hivecakes near the shores? Is it because of the currents? I need to understand these things to properly guide my evolution.
